WOS: Martha Motel. Just because a song has the word "summer" in the title don't make it a "summer song", Dave.  Bonus demerits for her performance on HMBOMT...

plus, it's about LAST summer, so from the POV of the singer it almost certainly ISN'T summer now.

No Billy Stewart/Janis either. I couldn't tell if this was a rerun but based on the double backannounce, it seems maybe this was put together special for 2005?

No, the back-announces were slightly different, i.e. one from the classic year and then one Dave recorded for today, adding the the bit about the bonus track & quiz.  But someone forgot to either delete the origianl back-anounce or else for got to stop the tape in time to switch to the new one.

I kinda thought they were separate takes of a backsell for this rebroadcast, as they more or less followed the same themes. Also, the first one was pretty generic and bland, no mention of anything date-specific like BOS. Wonder if they'll fix it for the rebroadcast tonight? (Someone else will have to let me know tho, I'm off to the Giants game tonite.)
