too bad Gaz is missing this:
Greg's playing "I was Born This way", Carl Bean's pro-gay club hit from 1977. I'm hearing this for the first time.
http://www.discogs.com/release/197980
I love the fact that the B-side was a cover of Cat Stevens' "Was Dog a Doughnut?"

I woulda been dancin if not for a meeting. Last night KRON showed SF in the 70's. LOVED IT! Previous night was the 60's. Tonight is the 80's.

Yer welcome, it was a mind-blower for me too. (I'd heard OF it, but had never heard it.) Wonder if Dave owns a copy?
-
sadly, Gaz is missing the remix of Bill Withers' "Lovely Day".
-

I too always thought it was "everybody wants your body" but apparently it's "Move your body" and "work your body". I like our interpretation better.

Woo Hoo! "Who'd She Coo?"!
-
Playing my Michael e-quest. Shake your body down to the ground!
-
ROTFL! Eddie Murphy, "Party All the Time"! This'd be a great Rick James record had Rick sung it instead of Eddie.
-
OMG, Tavares, "Whodunit?" I'm in pop/soul heaven.
"Hey Kojak/Won't you bring her back?"
"Hey Baretta/Won't you please go get her?"
"For cryin' out loud/Somebody call McCloud"
OK, I'll stop now.
