Title: 28 June 2010: it's... 1974
Post by: RGMike on June 28, 2010, 07:47:27 AM
Odd: Cannot access AL's Facebook page; everything else on FB works fine but with her page I get a blank slate and my browser freezes up. So if she's dropped clues as to today's year I can't get to 'em.

This song made me realize I've been Mondegreening a Parliament song for many years.  Don't remember which song it is, but it's from the "Mothership Connection" and he says, "Dig my sunroof top".  I was sure he was saying "dig my son, rooftop".  Thought his son was pretty darn tall.

More blue-eyed soul from Grand Funk.  Great stuff, and a good transition from the more traditional soul.

I don't wanna hear about your Hair Whiz.

BTW, it sounded like that commercial was doctored with the phrase "cheap gadget" being copied and pasted right before the final Whiz.  Didja hear that?

I'll second those.  Except it's a BOS for YF, one of my favorite movies of all time.  I think I have tickets for the musical too.

And another BOS for Fleetwood Mac, sounding quite different from any of their incarnations with the funky horns.
