At least we only hit '94 a few times a year.

Betting $10 that Weezer wins BOS.  (They're not getting my vote, though.)

Just discovered something interesting about this song (the Del Amitri) because I only had one earphone in: Like the old Beatles records, all the instrumental tracks are on the left channel, and the vocals and one acoustic guitar track are on the right.

Thanks for starting the thread Mark--I missed the intro entirely, had no idea what 90s year we were in.

Already nailed one!

I'd say something from Counting Crows -- was "Round Here" '93 or '94?

Super Hit SIXSIXSIX just might be Bryan Adams / Rod Stewart / Sting, "All for Love."  But I hope I'm wrong.

WOS, the Corrective Soles, the "yah" song. Didn't like it much then, still don't. Although Jeff Tweedy made a small joke about it (or at least the "yah" part) at the Wilco show last weekend, so I guess I'm not the only one.

Has Dave ever played Live in a 94 set? They were pretty huge that year, but don't think they've done much at all since then.

Live would be preferable, but for some reason CS is a KFOG favorite, they are on the morning show with regularity & of course they did Spring Break this year.  I saw it, an okay show that got better at the end.

They've released, I think, three more albums since Throwing Copper dominated 1994, musically solid but increasingly fraught with pretentiously religious iconography.  Ed Kowalczyk got too big for his britches.

I'm pretty sure we heard this reggae jam last time we visited '94: I'd never heard it then, and I don't remember who it is now.

A quick glance at Whitburn suggests that Janet Jackson's "You Want This" or Lisa Loeb's "Stay" would be more than welcome.  In fact, I'll bet on the latter as Tune #10.

Hey, congrats on the new gig! You weren't out terribly long--just sort of an extended vacation, eh? Hope you dig it!

OMG! Wilco's first-ever 10@10 appearance! Except this record didn't come out til 95. And I don't think this dropped early as a single.

Thanks, amigos.  I was only off for about 5 weeks, and I spent most of it looking for a job and planning my real vacation that starts next week (Europe, doncha know!).   Wish I'd taken more time off, but at least I can pump my severance pay into the kids' college fund, which doesn't technically exist yet.

Wouldn't bet the house on it, but I don't think so, at least not in a 10@10. A-Z is more likely. I can't recall if KFOG picked it up briefly in 95 when A.M. really was out or not. I think they did play Casino Queen, and picked up a couple of tunes from Being There a year later.

Listening on headphones in my motel room, and Dionne Ferris sounds pretty good to this old fart.  Interesting segue texturally as far as the slide guitar in "I Know" to "Loser"

6/15/05 - Midweek!  Re-visiting the '90's....1994!!!

Del Amitri - Roll to Me
Weezer - Buddy Holly
Cranberries - Dreams
Freedy Johnston - Bad Reputation
Collective Soul - Shine
Dawn Penn - You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)
Dionne Ferris - I Know
Beck - Loser (B-O-S!!!)
Crash Test Dummies - Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
Wilco - Box Full of Letters
Theme From...."Saved By the Bell"

I guess I need to start sticking around for the Bonus Track, lately they've been better than the set -- sometimes bustouts, even. Like "Man in a Uniform" recently, which Dave has never played, I don't think, but Annalisa did.
