Title: 26 May 2010: it's... 1969
Post by: RGMike on May 26, 2010, 09:47:47 AM
Didn't see clues on Facebook last nite and of course I can't access FB at work any more.  I'm hoping this is out '60s day, since I'm at an off-site training thingy tomorrow and won't be hearing 10@10 or anything else all day.

ETA: 1969!! (for the 2nd time this month) ahkindigityoukindigithekindigit...

uber-overplayed-oldie of set: "Build Me Up Buttercup" yeah, it's a wonderful record, but I expect a bit more unconventionality from AL.

BOS "Hot Fun in the Summertime," although it's 90 degrees here in NYC as I get ready to leave for work.  Less hot, more fun, please.

Wasn't that a great segue?  It's a whole new genre of segue.

I've never heard this Jimmy Cliff song, "Viet Nam".  Sounds an awful lot like "Wonderful World, Beautiful People".

NTM: Jimmy Cliff's "Vietnam"

I think this is making its 2nd appearance in the AL era, but yeah it was NTM the last time and quite a rarity.

I've never seen the movie.  Should I?  It'd be cool to see the young Dennis Hopper, not to mention the young Jack Nicholson.

I don't think it holds up that well, esp in the last half, but Nicholson's perf is worth a look.

BOS5 S&G, even tho' "The Boxer" is another Moreytrina.
