No FB hints so far; the promo I heard earlier said we're going to "a decade when we all had disposable income" -- so I guess that's either late '80s or late '90s?
ah, '95 -- Hiatt cries love, we cry WOS.
-
WORST OF MONTH: Deep Blue Something. Can't believe there are people who like this.
-
yeesh -- WOS2 Deep Blue Trina.

But that was before Clear Deep Blue Easy Something came along, right?
-
Something better better come along next -- three strikes and I am OUT!
-
BOS Ms Farris' "I Know", a KFOG staple at the time. Whatever became of...
-
Isaak does a bad bad thing -- the orig before it was re-purposed for Eyes Wide Shut.
-
HM Babydida Bad Bad Thing, that (other) sexy voice.
-
This Etheridge song has the same big riff as U2's "Hold Me Thrill Me," no?
-
Predictably, Melisseridge. Ho hum. It was never a "Secret", sweetie.
-
Didn't need the whole Randy Newman song. It's formula.
-
OMFG! uber-BOS2 Randy N from Toy Story. the sequel is one of the few films I'm looking forward to this summer -- what an underwhelming slate of CGI-crapfests coming between now and labor Day.
-

but it's a beloved film. And the song's the only bustout so far
ah, Weezer -- VHM, it's an AL/DM combotrina now.
-
I'll give Weezer the BOS nod.
-
Just dropped in to see what condition my BOS was in. Nice back to back pop hits with the Weezer & Wilco tunes. Too bad radio was hesitant to touch this song, thanks to the ill-chosen title.
-
Yes! BOS Pulp, "Common People," marvelously scathing. Everybody hates a tourist!
-
BOS3 "Common People", making its 2nd appearance in the AL era.

OMFG.
-
Ha! speak of U2 and they shall appear.

And today - Friday - is the 15th anniversary of my college graduation. Gah. I = an oldie.
-
BOS1 to John Hiatt. One of my favorites. BOS2 to Pulp.
VHM's to Melissa Etheridge and U2 solely for being underplayed songs by overplayed artists. Seriously I don't think I've heard that Melissa song since it dropped off the pop charts.
WOS to Deep Blue Something. Although I probably wouldn't mind it that much if it wasn't nearly as popular but it was soooooo overrated. They actually have other songs that are quite good but 99.8% of people have never heard of them.
& I'm going to pull out the DHM for Dionne Farris. That did not deserve to be #1 for 9 weeks, but at least it's still not overplayed on every Hot AC station like Deep Blue Something.
That Newman song is meh, but I'm giving it a free ride because that's another one I haven't heard in 15 years...in fact the only time I've ever heard it on the radio is on the Sunday Morning Fox Kids Club Countdown! :o

Wow, that's an anniversary I haven't thought about in years. Mine is around now too--perhaps the 22nd?, but much earlier--about 28 years ago. I do remember I saw Asia at the Warfield on their first tour of the US that night. Kind of disappointing though. The only time I saw that band live.
