can't wait! Currently wishing to hear Eric Cartman appear out of nowhere to join in with Dennis DeYoung on the refrain of "Come Sail Away".
-
seems we hear the Canned Heat verion of "Work Together" a lot more often than Wilbert Harrison's. Neither was exactly huge -- CH peaked at 26, WH at 32.

i'd like to buy the world a toke, er, Coke.

To compensate, we hear plenty of ELO's "Don't Bring Me Down," which is the same song.

Man I was digging that just now. Sounded awesome.
Wonder if Dave is going to play an extended track later this morning, after this & "Telegraph Road" earlier.

BOS to My Sweet Katrina, hare katrina, hare katrina, hare rama, hare rama.
but where do the "alleluia"s come from? isn't that a Christian affectataion? or do Krishnas say it too?

That was just George being multiculti. Sugar makes the medicine go down, etc.

I think that's the point. It's all one and the same, at some level.

Ummm, I think George's point is something about the unity of spiritual experience.

It would appear so; nobody else is credited as playing steel guitar on the album. (I'd link to it, but AMG links are oppressively long now, presumably for this very reason: so that if any of you want to check it out, you have to click several times.)

Is that Jerry on the pedal steel on "Teach Your Children"?
says so in Whitburn.

"What a long, strange trip it's been" -- the most overused quote in rock history. I have never seen a yearbook that didn't have this inscribed somewhere.

How DARE that Shirley Partridge suggest that single motherhood is a valid lifestyle!!!

BOS2 to Grass Roots, "Temptation Eyes." Formula or no, it's a wonderful two-headed-monster vocal and the horns are a treat as always.

This is one of those songs that Dave wouldn't play until a 1971 set, when it charted, as opposed to Bob, who plays it now because the album came out at the end of 1970.
-
another BOS to "Stage Fright", from a fab and underrated LP.
-
This one's a breakout for me: I have no guess to who's singing this stagefright song. Sounds nice, though!

by now you know: the Band.
I'm sure both Bob & Dave have played this one before, because I've complained it's the only tune from that LP we ever hear.
Sadly, I'll miss Dave's Strictly Instrumental set due to a Damn 10:00 Meeting. catch ya on the flip side...
