Yay! despite the overplayed "Spirit in the Sky", things surely will imrove from here...
ETA: oops, didn't realize it was a VT... nothin' but hits.
-
Yay!
Yay, but the Chartbusters format isn't the most. Maybe she's still weak from her illness and needs to just sliiiiide back into it.
-
Well I personally wouldn't say Yay for AL, but *really* nice choice for a Monday -- 70's vertical tasting woo hoo!!
-
Well, I'll give an HM to the oboe, but I really don't like the Stylistics.
-
BOS MJ & Co., with Clifton Davis' finest hour.
BOS2 the fabulous Stylistics, I betcha.

I guess it's a Monday for her, but for the rest of us it's Wednesday.
Meanwhile, BOS Betcha By Golly Wow. Gotta love that 70s Philly sound.
-
WOS the "Chartbusters, BABY!!!" announcer guy. Sheesh. He's REALLY gotta go.
-
I'm not that big a fan of the Chartbusters (nor the Vertical Tasting), unless it's one that starts in early sixties years that we otherwise never visit.
Good background music but that's about it.

I think you nailed it.

I really don't like the Stylistics.
You're the first person I've ever heard say this.
BOS to the late Mr. Vegas and company.
-
Hey, is that the loooong version of "Come and Get Your Love"? I don't think I've ever heard that intro before.
BTW, what's a Redbone? Maybe I don't want to know.

Well, it's early yet. I just don't like his voice. Their production is awesome, I'll give you that.
-
I'm digging the R&B bent AL is putting on this set. BOS2 Blackbyrds, Walking In Rhythm.
-
BOS3 Blackbyrds.
how far into me does the ARS want to get, exactly? Ouch.
-
BOS4 JS -- even tho' I just heard it on Lost 45s Sunday nite.
-
BOS for Marty and the gang Counting on him.

Why did AL play the radio edit version of Fooled Around And Fell In Love? Was she channeling Casey Kasem at that point? it was like 2 mins long....
-
HM for the Life Cereal commercial. That's gotta be the most quoted commercial ever. Who doesn't know every word of that? It's a masterpiece.

And the most MIS-quoted: it's "give it to Mikey, he hates everything" but for years I (like a lot of Mikeys) have had it thrown back at us as "give to Mikey, he'll eat anything"

That's a good point. Why did they think it was a good idea to give it to Mikey, when they were sure he wasn't gonna eat it? I did wonder about that.

A Cajun term for a mixed-race person, particularly those part Native American.
