Thanks for seconding my Alice Cooper request, urth. Fingers crossed.

Once AL gets started...

Once AL gets started...
Oh she's hard to stop, yeah!

ah likes the way she do it when she do it!
of course you gotta pick up the pieces afterwards...
ETA: both of these get VHMs but I'm holding out for something less familiar for BOS.
points deducted for the short version of the AWB hit.
But BOS the 'oo!
-
The question is, after you pick up the pieces, what do you do with them?
-
One-two-three-four-five-six-seven-eight!
BOS1 Slipkid. Just 'cause.
-

Well, if you hadn't picked them up, you might have slipped, kid.

I'll second that. But what IS a slip kid, anyway?

Good point. Is it OK if I put them where I want them?

I guess so. As long as you put them back together first.

One-two-three-four-five-six-seven-eight!
schlemeil, schlamazzle, hossenpfeffer incorporated!
(oops, wrong year)
BOS2 the Dan of Steel.
-
Last year's deficit: $1.4 trillion! Don't let it fall on me.
-
Here come those grey men--get your catcher's mitt ready!
BOS2 Black Friday, the Dan. I'd proxy the princess, but it appears she's here. :)

Psst, it could be an imposter. Let's see if she says what the REAL Princess would say...

Dude! It's prog rock! Oh, wait...

I never thought I'd say this about "Born to Run" but: Yeesh. KFOG has been playing this one to death lately -- just this morning on Webster's shift, in fact. Continuity alert!

Proxy of Yessongs BOS for "Born to Run".

I think this is the Boss's sexiest song. I'd certainly have wrapped my hands 'cross his engines.

Apparently not, Sugarbell.

BOS Captain Fantastic
.. and the Brown Star Dirt Cowboy, too!

Hate to be a crank, but I kinda feel that way too. Keep waiting for AL to turn a corner and pull out something that makes me think "now this is more like it."
Was that Farrah in the Pearl Drops ad?
VHM Elton, hanging out in the little room downstairs.

I think that WAS Farrah licking her teeth in public without shame, yes. Oh My God, YES!
-
almost had your hooks in a BOS. Been listening to a lot of EJ lately as I had gotten just about all of his albums up to the mid 80's not already in my collection for free from that Nat'l Guard download site last year.

no, just flaming. *snap*
jeez, now PPL. It's Moreytrina time!
-
AL just posted on FB that Alice is on his way.
uber-BOS4 "Dept of Youth", which shoulda been a much bigger hit.
-
Steve Austin and his bionic pearl drops!
-
AL promises Alice on the FB page. Here's hoping.
And here he is now! Nicely done, Mike!

I'm still bored.

Eek, I've never looked at that page during 10at10. They're doing our thing. Hey!
-

actually Dave played Amie by itself most of the time. So the twinspin is a treat, at least for me.
-
Eek, I've never looked at that page during 10at10. They're doing our thing. Hey!
But not nearly as well as we do it.
BOS3 Sweet!
-

dang new technologies!
is that Jose on teh FB site the same Jose that Dave would always mention?
-
BOS #3, Fox on the Run. Only two appearances in the Morey-era DB, so don't go calling this one a Katrina Mike.
-

who's got the power? WE DO!
yeah, but there's a lot of, er "typical" Fogheads posting there, ifyaknowwhutahmean.
BOS5 Sweet -- will we go from Foxy to Roxy?
-

I won't -- I used to complain that Dave never played this, so I'm thrilled -- and amazed to hear Sweet 2 weeks in a row. (we got "Action" in that '76 set last Monday)

I hate to be thick, but what's the other half of the twin-spin?
BOS for Sweet. I didn't like that Alice song.

agree, not too many super duper highlights, but still a good year overall.

Can't say for sure, but I suspect so.

THAT was funny. I don't remember it. It must be good; it contains Oriental ingredients! And as one poster notes, " They are made with pulvawized peaws". Guess she went to the Baba Wawa School of Elocution.
-
kudos for the Alice suggestion, RGM.
Made me think of KISS's Flaming Youth as another song w "youth" in the title, which of course got me thinking about a "youth" set: songs with "youth" in title, or by singers/groups named Young. We could request if for Ponce de Leon's birthday -- but apparently no one knows when that is -- so I would suggest the next best thing, like Cher's or Joan Rivers' birthday.

Dude -- you're psychic! "Flaming Youth" : KISS :: "Dept of Youth" : Alice C; that is, my favorite shoulda-been hit for each. And when I requested the Alice last nite I looked up the KISS tune, hoping they were the same year so i could ask for a "Youth" twin-spin. But sadly the KISS song is from '76, so I had to be "flaming" on my own.
-
"Meal Ticket" woulda blew my mind today.
One of my favorites on that album, surpassed only by "Bitter Fingers" (and the CD bonus track "One Day at a Time").

TANC: Yesterday lunchtime I met up with one of Joan Rivers' joke writers, a nice guy I met a few years ago here in NYC.
I have *very* vivid memories of that commercial. There was another one, soon after, with another Asian woman of dubious elocution, touting some vitamins for "iron-poor blood."
