Love how this one drives.  KISS put a live cover on one of their CDs - Alive II, I think?

Did Don Fardon (or JD Loudermilk or whoever wrote it) steal the melody of "Indian Reservation" from this tune?

Oops  -- it was the Sorrows, "Take a Heart". Still say it sounded a LOT like "Indian Reservation".  Little Steven is the only person I've ever heard play the UK Birds on the radio.

I think the online Technicolor Web of Sound site is the first place I heard UK Birds (Say Those Magic Words was the song).  Great set!     BOS Kinks, Dylan and everything else..

When the Beatles tune came on, it struck me that many of these songs were probably originally mono.  I was listening in headphones and the stereo mixes on the early stuff isn't the subtlest.   AL should have played all the mono mixes on a Monday and called it ... Mono Monday!

Just another mono Monday...  (whoo-ooo-ooh...)

Hey!  Geoff got a mention from AL just past the 1 PM hour, when she cited his FB memory of 1965: visiting Russian River as a kid and "hearing this next song on the BIG JUKEBOX!"

Then, after a lengthy commercial break, she played Dylan's Like a Rolling Stone

thanks Geoff!
