BOS Rockpile, speaking of power-pop.
-
I have a weird feeling we're going to hear a recent Casey Kasem entry, Linda Ronstadt's "How Do I Make You."
-
WOS Laverne & Shirley in their (L.A.?) reinvention.
-
Ooh, BOS for not-often-heard Squeeze, "If I Didn't Love You".

Seconded!

"The door of my love's off the latch" -- damn, those guys could write. BOS2.

is this Martha Motel? Whose problem is she? Ours, obviously.

I like her. And I've never heard this song before.

That's my guess, but this is NTM and I hope it ends soon.
-
Ha! Gov. Bill Clinton in 1980. "Touch & Go" coulda been his theme song, har har.
"flying like a semen cement kite"
-

I like her. And I've never heard this song before.
I'll second Davefish for a second time.
-
BOS3 B-52s when they were still fresh and delightfully different from everything else on the radio.
-
BOS to obscure B-52s. I don't know the title of this one.

Speaking of fish, Cindy wants to give us some fish, among other things. BOS for B-52s that is NTM.
-
WOS Cars. This song was the precise moment when I knew I wouldn't like any of their subsequent material going forward.
-

"Give Me Back My man" -- which really shoulda been sung by Fred.

That was "Give Me Back My Man", wasn't it? off of Wild Planet
-
aaack, sales meeting. sayonara.
-
Holy crap! yet another Devo Bustout from AL -- BOS4 "Gates of Steel"
-
Wow, another NTM song from Devo. Good set, though these songs just aren't that good, despite being obscure.
-
WOS to this spastic punk poser. Like the Big Bopper meets Iggy Pop.

What in the world is this? Sounds a tad like the Trashmen, especially with the tremolo vocals.
-
skateboardin' to Burger King! LOL!
who is this "Madman"? NTM. AL's sure making up for being less-obscure lately
-

yeah, gotta agree this is not very good. So much great punk/new wave in 1980, I'm not sure what posessed AL to spin this.
-
Obscure Van Halen on the way here...
I take it back, this isn't obscure. But boy, haven't heard this in yeeeeears.
-
BOS5 VH -- everybody wants some!

"Everybody Wants Some" was used in the one weak scene, the animated part, in Better Off Dead (a fave movie of mine).
-
wasn't that the Cramps? HMFRA
holee crap, I can post!
ok, making up for lost time:
I like the Motels, although my friend Bobby remarked that Martha Davis looks liek someone with whom you would bump carts at Ross Dress For Less. We saw her at the Marin County Fair last year
After the first two AWESOME Cars album, all their other stuff pales, but Touch and Go was decent. Anytime Eliot Easton can hold forth with a nice tasty guitar solo is a good experience.
BOS B52s and Devo

some people think the animated part is the best scene in the movie. ;)
-
wasn't that the Cramps?
methinks you may be right -- wasn't "Goo Goo Muck", but, in that vein.
OMGWTF! Alice Cooper goes all Gary Numan on yo' ass with "Clones"
-
HMFRA: Alice Cooper's new-wave reinvention of his own, the confusingly parenthesized "Clones (We're All)."

as long as he's not Cathy's Clone. ;)
-
haven't heard this Alice song in a long while. doesn't Everyone Love Alice? another HMFRA
-
doesn't Everyone Love Alice?
Just all the young girls. And the Arizona GOP.
-
Pretty deep in the bustout category there. I don't have the DB in front of me (I'm away from home for one more day) but I'd guess there were at least 3 or 4 in that set--Squeeze, B52s, Alice, Cramps--oh, and the Motels, so make it five.
