70s yesterday, 60s today!
Sister Bertrille indeed! The Flying Nun the series that gave us Sally Field in the title role.
-
Windy is the FIRST song I ever remember hearing!
-
duh, AL -- everyone *knows* it's windy. ;)
BOS for some sunshiny pop from the Association.
"the Bell of San Taco"? LOL!
BOS2 the fabulous Hollies, "On a Carousel"
-
it's very windy right now at my house, and rainy and thundery, too!
-
She's a joy to know! BOS BS!
-
BOS3 Buf S'field. A 10-way tie in the making, methinks.
-
She's a joy to know! BOS BS!
Yay! More CSNY components. "Rock and Roll Woman" is a great tune.
-
BOS3 for the Georgia Gnome, a mondegreen I often heard in Rock & Roll Woman.

Byrds next?

Yow, I don't know what this "My Girl" tune is. Weird stuff, sounding like a male version of Mama Cass.

Sounds vaguely Turtles-esque, but that's just a guess. Never heard it before.

Damn! The Turtles' "She's My Girl" is in my all-time Top 10!!
-
Move over, Rover! Jimi's takin' over! BOSwhatever, Fire!

That BBC news clip was a scream. "He's had his entrance and exit visas removed--how painful!"

*that's* what it was? jezzus, from that description, I was flummoxed. BOS7 to a fab tune. Can't believe anyone here had never heard it before!
VHM Radio London -- AL must spend hours looking for clips to play.

VHM poor sad Arthur Conley.
Why is he sad? And what the heck was the Johnny Smoke spot?

"Johnny Smoke" was an early anti-smoking PSA iirc.
Arthur Conley, legend has it, had unrequited homo-love for Otis Redding, who discovered him, and never really got over Otis' death.

For some reason "A Day In The Life" has always struck me as a rainy day tune, so it's sounding extra good this morning.
-
...and I was just wondering if Annalisa would play the whole track when it wasn't tune #10, and she DID! Cool.

a perfect set-closer, I was about to say (including the after-thingy!) But I was wrong. "Heaven is in Your Mind" ends things.

Yep! Did Dave ever let ADITL run all the way to the end groove? I'm thinking he might have once.
Still another BOS for Heaven Is In Your Mind, Traffic. Pretty great set, Arthur Conley notwithstanding.

Most likely, since it's only previous appearance in the Db was from the 40th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper's when he played the whole record. 10@10 went to 13 that day.

Windy is the FIRST song I ever remember hearing!
I remember singing it in glee club when I was in elementary school. Now THAT would be a version to hear.

10. Traffic - Heaven Is In Your Mind

This version is actually NTM - I'd only known the Three Dog Night version until now.
BOS to the Turtles (I love John Barbata's drum work there as much as the bah-buh-bah bvox), VHM to the Monkees and Beatles (yay). The Arthur Conley's a guilty displeasure of mine.
