a Moreytrina, iirc.  No dis to Annie, but I hope this '92 set is half as good as '87 was Tuesday.  "Diamonds & Pearls", perhaps?

I thought "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" was fresh when it came out.  Then "Two Princes" stayed in radio rotation for two years and I came to despise the guy's voice and the empty-sounding drums that defined too much early-'90s alt-rock.

I don't hate the Spin Doctors as some do, but "Little Miss..." was fairly standard KFOG stuff in '92.

Radicaldigits is very happy.

How many years of mystery has AL done?  There was 1997...and I think there was a 1985-ish set too.

VHM for me -- really liked this when it came out, but, as you say, they susbsequently became over-played and didn't hold up well in repitition.

Yes!  BOS to XTC, "The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead," one of the best singles of the decade.

Getting some server slowness today, alas, for the first time in a couple weeks.

YES! in downtown Oakland we felt a big jolt. Not one of those rolling, lingering ones.

VHM XTC, tho' "Peter Punpkinhead" is not exactly a bustout either.

I was gonna say almost the same thing.  I was excited about the Spin Doctors and bought their album.  But that guy is just a crummy singer.  "Two Princes" just sucks.

I was in Taiwan, so I never heard Two Princes on the radio, only on MTV Japan on cable.  I liked the video because the protaganist was bassist Mark White & it was in the style of a silent movie with dialog cards, one of which read: "Mark makes his move."

But then I got kind of tired of it too.

This was a Davefave & bonafide Katrina, but I still like it.  But one morning a couple years ago, some Foghead mom called in and put her kid on the phone to request LIAH, and Dave enthusiastically played Tom Cochrane.

I called in a few minutes later & said, "Hey Dave, I'll bet you $20 that kid has never heard Tom Cochrane.  She almost certainly is only familiar with the cover version from the Cars soundtrack."  Dave was not only unaware of the existence of the cover because he hadn't seen the movie, he'd also never heard of Rascal Flatts.  (which is probably a blessing for him)

I think it's not like a Guilty Displeasure, more like a slightly stronger 'meh' (which seems to have fallen out of common usage lately in any case).
