Yah, weird opening. I'm thinking it's 1980.
-
Thinking '81 for "Do You Wanna Hold Me?!" BOS1 to that either way - those kids were adorable.
-
Another BOS for Oingo Boingo. Good year for silly band names, it would seem. Maybe she can work in some Kajagoogoo.
-
Holee crap! BOS2 Oingo Boingo bustout! proxy of urth'n'shray, "Who Do You Want To Be Today?".

Then we should hope for some Hayzi Fantayzee in the set!
-
Well, news and the Tubes solidify 1981.
-
1983, it must be : "2nd anniv of the attempt on Reagan's life"
"She's a 'Trina"!

or Total Cohelo!

BOS3 "Send Me an Angel", a great OHW from a decade full of 'em.
-
Real Life's "Send Me an Angel" didn't chart until early '84 ... but yes, this is definitely an '83 set.
-
So did "She's a Beauty" really chart in 83? The album came out in 1981, and I'm pretty sure we usually hear it in that year.
ETA: Oops, never mind. It's from Outside Inside, not Completion Backwards Principle.
-
WOS to Yes, "It Can Happen to You." Might as well happen at Chez Nous.

didn't it chart twice? Top40 db sez '83.

ditto. Amazing how many WOS's I get from this one album.

My Whitman says '84 and '89.

Surprise of set: Rainbow, "Street of Dreams." Shocked that I remember this.

best Cheeze! (which is saying something, in '83).

Probably haven't heard this since the 80s. Not particularly memorable, especially compared with the extremely catchy "Since You've Been Gone", which I tried to get my band to play. And speaking of extremely catchy, HM for the Romantics' "Talking in Your Sleep", which we did play.
-
isn't it Romantics? First really overplayed pop hit of the set, and we're halfway thru -- a mark of excellence IMHO.
-
Ride, Sally Ride! HM to Peter Schilling.
-
Ride, Sally Ride! followed by "Major Tom" -- cute, AL. VHM Mr Schilling.
-
Jinx, Sally Jinx!
-
been listening while getting slow-rising kids a late breakfast. BOS's all over the place.
-
So we get two German songs in a row, and the second one is even the auf Deutsche version!

Ja, wohl! BOS4 Nena -- can Falco be far behind?

sure hopes so!
and in case the question hadn't been settled, this is not a repeat set.
-
"get up get up get up get up"
woo hoo!
-
BOS Marvin
-
Who needs German? Marvin speaks the language of love! BOS5 "Sexual Healing"
-
BOS2 Marvin.
-
BOS2 Marvin.
please don't ejaculate while he masturbates (still can't believe that lyric!)

just checked, Dave actually played this more often than WILAY, 10:8. And although I have no recollection of hearing it, the Db sez he played "One In A Million" thrice.

I recall the first time he played "OIAM" we assumed it was a mistake, but he ended up playing it 2 more times, so it musta got BOS votes.

Dang, the replay started rather early! I wanted to hear Bow Wow Wow, but at 10:03 we're already halfway through the Tubes - tune #3.

It's those damn third-string engineers they have working over the holiday week. Either that or Big Rick had a party to get to.
Missed this one, and will probably miss the show tomorrow too. I have to take Mom to the airport in the morning, and have a meeting in the evening, which I will likely not return from before 10. :(

Not only did the set start waaay early, but neither Monday's nor Tuesday's setlists have been posted by 6pm Tuesday. What's going on?
