I have to give everything a BOS so far, though I expect to be in the minority on the Men At Work.

Ghosts appear and fade away...

As far as I can tell.  It's not in the Db & a quick review of Annalisa's previous 1982 sets didn't turn it up.

nope, I give overkill a BOS, although I've heard better versions of this song (Colin hay acoustic solo, I think and some other group).  I think it's sentiment requires a less poppy feel: it's too upbeat for the subject of paranoia.

well it's far from a Katrina, Dave only played it twice, over 2.5 yrs ago was the more recent of the two, and that was in a VT.

segue-of-the week!  Maggie Thatcher into "Lies" -- another bustout (?), another BOS.

this is only the Db once in '04 (but the set got repeated later that year)

wow, this TT sounds day-ted.  HM just for its ability to bring me back to 82

But I've never been keen on the refrain "Lies Lies Lies Yea-uh!"

Yeah, it quickly got repurposed in my elementary school as "Lice, Lice, Lice, Yeah!"

Haven't heard "Paperlate" in years.  HMFRA, I guess, though I have no idea what that word means.

BOS, BOS, BOS, yeah!  TTs for the win!

in '82, the TTs and Human League were neck-and-neck for most popular synth-pop band on our local alternative/New Wave station. But HL went straight to #1 with their first single, while TT songs like "Lies" and "Love on Your Side" didn't cross over to Top 40. They'd have to wait a year for their big breakthru.

And now Phil eats off paperplates.

Uber-BOS to Men at Work!  ;D  Easily my favorite single from them.
I also always thought the song sounded like the ending credits of Super Mario Land for Gameboy.

BOS2 to Thompson Twins.

Meantime, VHM to "A Town Called Malice."  All the young girls love Malice.

it's a subtle message to the easily influenced-youths:

"We will not go away, we will not fade away.. We will return again and again and influence you to join the Kiss Army and buy our merch.  I'm King Of The Merchandising World!"

You've perfectly summarized "Gene Simmons Family Jewels."
