Gaz will be so proud of you!
and here's Mr Carmen, cribbing from Chopin (?) and wallowing in self-pity.

well, we heard a snippet of Mr Wainwright, anyway. Great song, and long out-of-print. (It's the LP that also includes "Squeaky's in Prison & I'm in Misery")
Another Gaz WOS: Seger, "Come to Papa". And another HM from me.

Rachmaninoff, actually. (cue little whistles from Willy Wonka)
Speaking of J. Geils: Jay was actually at Streaming Media East yesterday, doing a live jazz (!) concert that was broadcast live at streamingmedia.com. I'm sorry I didn't think to post the deets here, but hopefully they've archived it for rebroadcast.

Tomorrow may be a mirror image of the numbers (76|67)but the music was vastly different back in '67. We'll let it all hang out for the strange brew that was 1967 on Thursday's Ten @ 10 on 97.1 FM The Drive.

Hmmm. Chicago gets 67 tomorrow, but methinks we won't be nearly that lucky, being as we've had 69, 81, and 76 so far this week. More likely 1989 or some such thing, and then of course, the requisite Ka-boom set on Friday. So if you have meetings you've been meaning to schedule or a vacation you've been putting off, this might be an opportune time
