And we lead with Sweet! A Piece of the Action!
-
AL will surely do better than Bob did earlier.
Dude! Sweet! BOS "Action"
-
can I have a piece of the action please?
I really need it today.
-
AL's s-s-smokin' and t-t-tokin'. I wish she was j-j-jokin'

Guess bangs were all the rage back then--I had no idea! And love that one of the guys is wearing a Colt .45 T-shirt.
-
"Ch-Ch-Ch-Cherry Bomb"!!! BOS2 Runaways! AL loves her some chick rock!

-
Whoa!!! This could be the bustout of the month! BOS Runaways! Cherry Bomb!
-
just came in; who's doing this "Cherry Bomb" song, and what was before that?
Hot Chocolate sounds nice
-
Runaways, right? Cherry Bomb BOS --
But let's face it, none of these runaways were cherries at this point. :P

is the stream that far behind the live feed? The Runaways were indeed Sexy Things.
-
another BOS to Sweet
so... let's see:
Sweet
Smokin'
Cherry Bomb
Hot Chocolate
I think someone back in 76 was partying and had a sweet tooth for some munchies.
-
Whoa!!! This could be the bustout of the month! BOS Runaways! Cherry Bomb!
I think we can safely say that Annalisa is rocking the 10@10 harder than her predecessor. Trade off is less R&B though.

Yeah, it's crossed my mind that we don't hear nearly as much Motown or soul in general since AL took the reins. She didn't grow up in Detroit in the 60s, so not hard to figure.
That being said, both You Sexy Thing and Car Wash could def. be considered R&B.

yes -- I definitely noticed the lack of soul, overall.
and as if to rebut our opinion, she gives us Hot Choc and Rose Royce back-to-back.
-
and so it goes!
-
another BOS to Sweet
so... let's see:
Sweet
Smokin'
Cherry Bomb
Hot Chocolate
I think someone back in 76 was partying and had a sweet tooth for some munchies.
what is the Sweet song, and who did Smokin'?
-
and so it goes!
BOS3 the Jeezus of Cool himself. that vision/his'n rhyme is genius, IMHO

"Action" and Boston.
-
'discussions with the Russians'...ah the good old days of the Cold War.
-
seems like we're hearing more Jethro Tull lately, which is a good thing.
-
Captain Kangaroo? Too old to Rock'n'Roll, indeed!
-
Back to the RAWK: Nick Lowe, So It Goes. A longtime fave, earns a BOS just on that criteria.
This one is in the DB just twice, and one of those is a classic replay of the first. (And that was in a '78 set, but AL must be going with its UK release.)
Another BOS for J. Tull, Too Old to Rock & Roll.
-

the head Jethro celebrated a bday on Monday. Ian Anderson turned 62!
-
BOS, "TOTR&R TYTD"
Never!
ETA: Though the irony of my avatar is not lost.

The Sweet started off w a song called Action, and then Boston did that song which I think is called Smokin'

Never!

I was about to say!
-
BOS, "TOTR&R TYTD"
Never!
ironically, your avatar seems to say the opposite!

ironic JINX!
-
in a continuing theme about aging, we get Bob Seger
-
Too old to rock'n'roll, too young to forget. VHM Seger.
-
seems like we're hearing more Jethro Tull lately, which is a good thing.
Would love to hear Minstrel in the Gallery someday in a '75 set.
Meanwhile, VHM to Seger, Rock & Roll Never Forgets. Come back, baby...
-
dude, it ain't Nuclear Physics... oh wait... it IS!
BOS4 H&O&S
-
And as if to refute our assertion of less soul, here's Daryl and John, Sara Smile!
-
ack! here comes PF!
-

White soul doesn't hardly count. ;)
Geoff, stop the spoilers!
-
ack! here comes PF!
Wow, you are ahead of the stream.
And there is nothing wrong with Frampton. IMO.
BOS2, "Do You Feel..."
-
And just as Telegraph Road makes for a lengthy set, so does Do You Feel Like We Do? Proxy of Alicat--this better not be an edited version.
-

indeed, BOS5 (and proxycat) just 'cause it's not "Show me I Love Your Way"

Au contraire, if Geoff can hear it, he can post about it. Not his fault we're all lagging behind 'cause of the stream.
-

the LP cut is 14 mins (an entire side, iirc) so It's gotta be an edit of some sort.

he can, but that doesn't mean he should ;)
-
Bob Mayo has been practicing: He sounds better today than before on this cut!
-
Tar Nation! It's a feud, Pa! Streamers agin' the Airwavers!
Actually I am feudin' with the stream itself which has cut in and out at least 6 times since Frmapton came on.
-

Hey, after the 28-minute '64 set we heard the other day, I think we have some credit coming!
ETA: I lost the stream in mid-talkbox solo, and when I got it back a minute or two later, the solo was still going on! Btw, we're about 10 minutes into DYFLWD, so I'm guessing we are getting the full 14 minute version.

good thing it's a looooong one, then. And indeed AL seems to be playing all 14 mins of this epic. It ain't the 45, anyway.

not my stream :P

AL is no stoner: she mentioned how the "sticks and seeds" got stuck in the Frampton double LP fold.
No Stems and Seeds that you don't need... Acapulco Gold is ... (long pull).... Bad Ass Weed!

Hah! In high school a friend and I did that bit for our speech class--except I had to insert a vocalized "beeeep" for one particularly taboo word (I think it was "motherfucker").

If DYFLWD isn't enough of a sledgehammer, THAT certainly is.
