In tribute... the lovely, hard-to-find instrumental version of the Smiths' "Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want", by Dream Academy -- featured in Ferris Bueller but not on the sndtk album.

And the line that several of my Facebook friends have been quoting:

"Oh, he's very popular, Ed. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wasteoids, dweebies, dickheads — they all adore him. They think he's a righteous dude."

We sure do.

Pretty In Pink was the most recent "Movie Night" film shown in Dolores Park this past Saturday.  I've never seen the movie, and I didn't go that evening.   I'll rent it soon, though.

love that line from Bueller!

Having just checked, I have seen all eight of the films he directed, though I can't remember much about Curly Sue.

one of my cohorts told me about this today, and I figured it would be pretty big news at the old 10@10 clubhouse! I've seen some of his movies, don't think I've ever seen Ferris in its entirety.

Wow, only a few blocks from where I work.  But I wouldn't have had occasion to be there last Thursday morning (my day off).
