Birthers be damned.

So I posted on FaceBook: "It's the president's birthday -- all you 'birthers' can bite me! Idiots."  And one of my FB friends had No. idea. what that means.  Am I in a media-centric bubble? Or is she clueless? Or both?

Until you mentioned it the first time, I had no idea.  But that was a couple weeks ago, and I ran into a few things since.  Still, it's a silly fringe movement, and unless you go looking for silly fringe movements, I suppose they are fairly easy to ignore or discount.

I was mostly off the grid and out of news media's reach for the most part for the past two weeks, so I didn't know either.

No such thing as too much MSNBC,  ;D but don't expect everyone else to have done the same.

in my defense, it's also being covered on CNN, Fox Noise (with a diff slant, obviously), and by the Daily Show, Colbert, and every late-night comedian (Conan, Letterman, etc). And my FB friend works in radio (!)

I think she only goes back as far as Zachary Taylor, which would be..umm...34.
