Holy fucking shit.  The quarterback was found shot to death, along with a female companion, in a Nashville condo.  No details known.

Wow. That's nasty. I imagine the article at that link has been updated a few times since you posted it, as the details they're now giving sound like it was some sort of execution, and the first thing one thinks is that drugs are involved somehow, particularly when you read that she had a DUI a couple days ago, with him in the car, and she refused a breathalyzer test, saying she "wasn't drunk, she was high."

The latest is that the cops are saying they're "not actively looking" for suspects. Which would seem to indicate a murder/suicde.  My guess is that maybe being caught in her DUI was a wakeup call for the married McNair, he tried to break it off and she went batshit. (She's decribed as a "friend" but 37-year-old married men don't have 20-year-old female "friends", folks.)
