I looked this up yesterday to get the year correct.
I guess it was orig released in 70, but was included on the US pressing of the Benefit album which was released in US in 72.
no wait, it must've charted in both years, although my stmt about the US pressing containing Teacher while the UK did not is true per wikipedia. Maybe the Chrysalis label released in in 72, too?

BOS CSNY just for the memory of buying this on cassette -- one of the first albums I bought after discovering prog-FM radio in early '70.

-
I wasn't crazy about "Little Bitty Pretty One" at the time (the beginning of '50s-nostalgia-mania in the US), but it's a fab production.
Meanwhile on the Drive, Percy's got a little woman like to ball all the time. And your problem is?
-
Holy crap -- I've never heard the J-5 doing "Reflections". reflect!-reflect!
-
Back to the Drive: BOS(2)FRA "I Dig a Pony"

Bob plays the orig Velvets version of "Sweet Jane" -- a bustout for him.
-
The fabulous "Who's Lovin' You" on KPOO --the track that prompted Berry Gordy to say "he may be only 11, but he's got an old soul".
-
J5's Who's Loving You? on KPOO.
J5 on The Ed Sullivan shew: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ane6VJGlIMs

Quincy Jones apparently told Bryan Monroe, journalist and former editorial director of Ebony and Jet magazines, that "there were only two people that stood out to him, and he met them both at eight years old. One was Stevie Wonder, the other was Michael Jackson." heard it on the NPR Talk of the nation show yesterday:

TANC: sho' 'nuff baby baby baby! "I Don't Know Why I Love You" -- MJ covers Stevie
-
MJ's standing in the shadows, but he's no Levi.
-
yikes -- they cover my fave Martha/Vandellas song "Honey Child", replete with roosters crowing and awful Southern-accented narration by MJ!
-
JJ closes with the J-5's first 45 "I'm a Big Boy Now". Ironic, considering he never really grew up.

Ooh, I love that song, sorry I missed it.
