AL spilled the beans at the end of the marathon Sat morning. Not many '65 sets in the shraytabase, I'll wager. Indeed, 1965 was relatively rare when I first discovered 10@10 18 years ago. Wow.
-
for me, Summer 1965 is Pee Wee Golf in Guerneville, the jukebox is blasting "Like a Rolling Stone" and "Eve of Destruction."
I eagerly await Monday!
I did some googling for Billboard 1965, and it's a freakin' gold mine.
-
there are 3 1965 sets in the Db, and it's been 4 yrs since we got one.
Can't wait.
-
I decided to wait at home for this before 65 kicks in, and tuned into the signal from the Comcast cable. Strangely enough, the radio is delayed behind the cable signal!

-
AL's sets have uniformly been longer than Dave's so far -- interesting since her news/TV/etc clips tend to be shorter -- but this one will be pretty short, I'll bet.

first two songs feature heavy bass lines, sweet!
-
Eric B & Co covering Mann & Weil brilliantly. I fully expect a 10-way tie today.

Somebody named Qohelet wrote the book of Ecclesiastes, and Pete Seeger wrote the melody & turned it into a song.

minor crankypants moment: I've heard "Monday Monday" a few too many times to BOS it. 9-way tie, then.
-
couldn't find the artwork for the single. It was the B side of this Japanese import:

For some reason the harmonies of the Mamas & Papas are sounding even better than everything else, and not because today is Monday.

all the more reason -- minus points to AL for obviousness!

(And while we're at it, where has the setlist gone? It's 11pm, and no today's set on the kfog page.)
