Wow, remarkable to see anything regarding that band that doesn't use their now-iconic 'Chicago' logo:

I'd rather be a Simon than a Garfunkel. BOS "El Condor Pasa"

looks like a UK or other Euro 45; guess the marketing folks didn't quite have their ducks in a row yet in 1970.

Why didn't the Bobby Sherman alarm go off?

Seems like Bobby Sherman polarizes the opinions -- like any true artist should!
BOS! ;)

yes, heavy reverb, man. Unlike a lot of Chicago's early stuff, which sounds like it was recorded underwater (see Make Me Smile).

BOS! ;)
as noted before, the UK version was done by White Plains of "My baby Loves Lovin" fame:

I think that's the only time I've heard Dave say "B-O-S"!

Today we were back to the "usual" "it's our favorite show" and "have a great rest of today" intro and outro. But the set between 'em was just fine, thank you!

Nice work with the link in the setlist TC.
Too bad the intern ruined the overall effect by spelling "yay!" wrong again. ::)

VVHM George, Awaiting On You All. Anyone else think this sounds like it was recorded in an airplane hangar?
Man, totally. And thanks, Mike, for alluding to my favorite GH lyric (which George, whether modestly or cowardly, undid in the ATMP reissue liner notes several years ago): "While the Pope owns 51% of General Motors / And the stock exchange is the only thing he's qualified to quote us." That couplet is seven layers of genius cake for me.

So, it's not "And the stock exchange is the only thing that's qualified to quote us?"

OMG/TANC: I had the song in my head all day after hearing it Wed morning; I was thisclose to quoting that line in my Facebook status this morning, but the Adam Lambert story became more topical and so George got bumped. But obviously I love that line a LOT.
Mmmmm.... 7 layers of genius cake...
