so we've settled into an every-2-weeks rotation, have we? ;) '83 again. Mr Palmer covers The System. BOS.
-
I'm torn. There are a couple of bustouts (the first time around) in this set, but if The Sound has a great year going on I might double dip.
-
Love You Are In My The System -- pretty straight cover, no? but good production

I'm normally against double-dipping

But the uber-katrina of '83 ("Our House") makes it OK.

Indeed. As I've said before, Mr Palmer's taste in R&B covers has always been as impeccable as his suits. I do prefer the original, tho'.

Well, the Sound is playing Bruce's Pink Cadillac which tells me it's 84 or 85, so 83 doesn't look so bad, particularly since I know what's coming.

Must be a theme set then, 'cause their 'just played' page says Pink Cadillac followed The Who.
ETA: Yep--they just went into Blue Morning Blue Day by Foreigner--methinks it's a "color" set.
-
BOS3 Ultratrina, er, Ultravox.

aaaack! Marillion in full-on faux-Genesis mode. WOS.
-
Heh, Marillion. Reminds me of when Anne and I were dating, for some reason we'd often hear Stone Trek on KOME, and there was a preponderance of Marillion, and Fish too, to the point where she could identify them, even though she really doesn't care about prog rock (dude).
-
OMFG! ah do believe ahm "Delirious"! Purple BOS4

Am I crazy, or have the "classics" been really worthy of the name lately? It's like someone's actually trying to pick good, diverse sets (even if they've thrown the once-a-month rule out the window, year-wise).
BOS5 T-Heads

BOS5 T-Heads
I was wondering that too. We do seem to be getting the cream of the crop, mostly.
Uber-BOS H&O Family Man.
-
Holy crap: BOS6 (!) H&O -- "Family Guy" in it's only appearance, iirc.

BOS5 T-Heads
well, it seems they realized they could into the vault beyond the last couple months to get sets.
also, BOS Vacation

Yep, but seems like most of them lately have been no older than 2007 (today's was from Feb 27, 2008). Which means sooner or later either they start digging further back or we're gonna start hearing reruns of reruns.

Urth -- two questions:
Any special reason for the BOC avatar?
And why is it the reverse image?

yes! there's a chance I might be out of town, but if in town, I'll be there! Even though they're down to original members Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma, i still diggem. Buck Dharma looks like your average frumpy accountant, but he still plays well.

I might be up for that too. Even if it is a Monday. (so tired)

To answer Rod's questions, no special reason--I just didn't feel like keeping Frank Gorshin et al as an avatar any longer, and I had this on my hard disk.
As for the backward image, that's how the one I snagged was. Props to you for recognizing it.
ETA: How's it look now?

That's OK--there's an image I really don't need to see. :o
