1984, knockin' at our door.

no chance of any of these, but they'd sure be spicy breakouts:

"Somebody's Watchin' Me", Rockwell
"Sugar Walls", Sheena Easton
"Do What You Do", Jermaine Jackson
"Adult Education", Hall & Oates

But "Sister Katristian" is far more likely.  Seems like we just did '84 (we heard Tracy Ullman) but it's actually been 5 weeks. Time files.

Anyone listening right now, at 9:52? They're playing a song that vaguely reminds me of George Harrison. Kinda catchy on first listen.

No time to play today, so it's good that Dave got my BOS out of the way on the first song.

BOS, JJ

I don't vote with Rod all that often, but easy BOS to "You Can't Get What You Want ('Til You Know What You Want)."  I'm sure this applies to today's drama, but I'm not yet sure how.

One of the few times the Fixx sounded like they were enjoying what they were doing.  HM to "Are We Ourselves?"

Actually no, I think the average Foghead does like The Cars about as much as Dave does.  That's why they vote for it.  But Dave hasn't been going to that well the last couple years nearly as often as he did wehn we were on the old Yahoo board.

It's in the Stream of Consciousness thread: I was terminated from my job after yet another argument with the BMMB.

No, I opted out of any dramatics or grandstanding -- except to say, "Are you actually going to give me my final check?"  (Other employees who had left on less-than-ideal terms had had problems getting their final pay.)

as of thismorning on IMDb it has already attracted 482 viewer reviews with a rating of 7.6/10, which is pretty good by their standards.

It's already out in the UK & the Guardian gave it a luke warm but slightly positive review.

what I meant was, isn't this some sort of collaborative effort & not just a standard double billing?

this is one of those inexplicable Morey faves; not something you'd think he'd be jazzed about personally (knowing his taste), yet it shows up often enough. And for me it's a Narada, I don't recall hearing it at the time.

Agreed. In fact, I haven't got many complaints about any of this week's sets--they've generally had enough departures from the norm to keep me interested.

I'm off Friday, heading for a weekend in Mendocino. Back Monday, have a weekend y'all.
