unless we get a theme set (we haven't had a classic VT since Dave left) I suspect we may get '90s today.
ETA: WTF?? 1992 for the second time in 10 days. Jeezus effin' Christ.

my trepidation is similar, as we got 60's last Friday and 70's already twice this week.

Wit'cha. I'm keeping a KSWD player open just in case. They did 90s yesterday iirc, so they've got a good chance of coming up with something decent.

Someone want to post a spoiler of the setlist? I'll probably shift to the Sound.

It's 1971 in LA!
What was tune #1?

If I could ID the TOTHK I would, but I'm not coming up with it.
The Sound has 1971, but the stream just went away, about 45 seconds into Long Distance Runaround.
There it is! Hot Color!

Strike that - the Silverlight player doesn't work for me at work. :(

Ah - working now. yay!

seriously, how hard is it for KFOG to keep track of what years are being run (and re-run)? '92 twice in 10 days is really inexcusable.

We have a thread for it going already today, and I called you out when LDR started off.

what about the "older" Liquid Compass choice? Neither work for me, unfortunately.

Hey Rastermon, long time no see.
We all ditched KFOG's '92 in favor of KWSD in LA's '71. There's a link on the Regional forum.

I'm guessing the Cure and Sundays tunes were bustouts at the first airing, or at least serious rarities. I know the Costello was, despite having been a KFOG playlist staple back in '92. That and the Chrissie/Moodswings are the only 2 I regret missing.

Man, I missed Chrissie! I also really like the Dolby song.

The Costello, Sundays, and Chrissie/Moodswings tunes were all bustouts when this one aired on Oct 8 of 2008. The Cure tune is in the DB three times prior to this, but none since 2005. The Clapton had been played once before this, in 2004. And the rest had multiple appearances.
And that's your stats wrapup for today, April 3, 2009.
