I heard theirs first, too -- it was an LP cut for Rev. Al, but never a single. There was a soul cover that charted before the Heads, but I'm blanking on the guy's name -- JJ plays it occasionally.

this set is at least 2 yrs old, and neither of the ones in the Db that have this as the TotHK have been repeated until now. Very welcome news after yesterday's set!
-
VHM Doobs, just 'cause it's not "Black Water".

of course, even a fifth go-'round for a '74 set beats anything from '87 ;D

Likewise here. Safe to say most people were intro'd to it via the Heads.
There are two possibilities for 74 sets leading with TMTTR--we're getting the more recent of them (2/28/07), but IMO it's also the better of the two, by just a little bit. Some good stuff comin'--stay tuned, y'all!

VHM Doobs, just 'cause it's not "Black Water".
I think I can guarantee you'll give BOS's to at least tunes 3, 4, 5 & 10. Urth will certainly BOS 4 & 8.

Yep, you are right about that, Mr. Shray. Also 3, 5, 6, & 7. Very strong set, this one.

This is great; as much of a Joni fan as I am, I'm not really familiar with this tune.

one of the least-played from her most-played LP. An album to get lost in, still.

Wouldn't dream of it!
and I still contend that something which is already rotten can't be spoiled.

It still amazes me that (legendary DJ) Dan Ingram was able to get away with that line ("...or the daughter either") which he used just about every time he played that song.
