And it's the Rascals--the oldest of the three (10/6/06 orig. airdate), and one that hasn't been a classic before. Yippee!

either rare practically the only Rascals song Dave ever plays, Jefferson Airplane, or Santana on deck.
"See" is very nearly a Katrina, but I never seem to remember it.

Ah, I see it has. So why is the 12/31/07 set listed as a "dupe classic" while the one on 4/27/07 is just a "classic" when each has only been a classic once (prior to today)?

get your BOS's warmed up for Super Hit Six!
which is "practically the only song Dave ever plays" by that artist ;)

no clue, but I fixed it on my copy. Wait now I remember. Dupe Classic means that it is both a classic and a dupe, not a dupe of a classic. When I analyze Katrina's I usually drop dupe sets out of the equation. About the only sets that can be Dupes but not classics are MLK day & Pride, where Dave plays the exact same tunes, but it's not a rebroadcast.
Prior to the last year or so (and especially the last 2 months), most classics weren't dupes.

Yes, James -- it most certainly *is* funky now! BOS2 JB. (ETA: it's the looooooong version! MacNASTY!)
So, does '69 today mean we will actually get either HFH or Valentines tomorrow? Or is the keeper of the classics gonna punt and give us 1989?

I queried Webster and he said "there will be some riff on Friday the 13th tomorow." Odd choice of words, but I took that to mean 'yes'.

-
BOS for the King! Crimson, that is. We really need higher fidelity than 49KB/s for this track.
-
I don't know that I previously appreciated the segue from the Woodstock announcement "...but it's your own trip" into King Crimson.
Big BOS, I always thought Greg Lake was underrated as a singer.

"i don't want to end up like Bonnie & Clyde..."

According to IMDb, Zooey just got engaged to Ben Gibbard of Death Cab a few weeks ago.

VHM Savoy Brown, just 'cause they were prog-FM staples at the time and are now largely forgotten.

Even I liked this album!

The streamers got aced out of the bonus track again today. I think I caught the end of Build Me Up Buttercup when it finally came back from about 7 minutes of commercials, then straight into Tom Petty. Grrr.

I must say (after bitching about '91 on Monday) that we got 3 really fine "classics" in a row Tue-Wed-Thur, and if tomorrow is really HFH, well, those are always fun, so this week is a big improvement over last week.
Still want Dave back, tho'.
