and thank GAWD for that.  Tempts, "Masterpiece" as TOTHK -- another recent one, methinks?

Santana as song 2 -- this is sorta ringing a bell.

Could be. There are two 73 sets in the DB that lead with Masterpiece. One from February 11 of last year (nearly exactly a year old) and the other is a classic that aired in Dec of 2004. If tune #2 is Santana's Samba de Sausalito, it's the latter. And there's lots to like after that.

BOS4 and probably overall BOS to Ringo and George, following Paul Simon in a paean to the photographic process.

Wow, lots of political content in this one (of course there was lots to be had in '73). Wonder when it originally aired? (It was a classic in '04 too.)

Well, as he wrote it (and also sings backup and plays rhythm guitar), I'd say definitely.

No shortage of BOS candidates in this set--BOS5 & 6 to the Blue Ridge Rangers and Gladys and the Pips.

ETA: And Dave let it play all the way to the end of the run-out. Nice.

Really wish he'd get his studio up and running and get back in the driver's seat.

George Thorogood's version of "Move it On Over" is a possibility; dunno if Dave's ever played Ms Ronstadt's cover of "I Can't Help It (If I'm Still in Love With You)".
