Mike's prediction bears fruit, at last!

And cue the bagpipes!

Mike's prediction bears fruit, at last!

and only a week late!

Guitars that sound like bagpipes -- what will they think of next?

She got legs and knows how to use them.  Too many possibilities come to mind.

Looks like this set is another from the pre-Shraytabase era. I don't find any occurrance of Fields of Fire in the TOTHK position.

And hearing this particular ZZTop tune is leaving me a little nonplussed.

wow, a relative rarity from Huey -- this one doesn't show up very often.  BOSFRA.

maybe not in 10@10 land, but it's a FogTrina to me.

"Legs" is the worst ZZTop hit.  I don't like it.

And I could never get into Joe Jackson's ode to...errr...well...never mind.

Gets My BOS for sure.  Probably my last post of the day, as I have 4 appointments the rest of the day.

Be My Number Two--probably the most-frequently played song we've heard so far, but also the only legitimate BOS candidate, in my book.

And speaking of not-faves: Leave It. Not quite as bad as the Groaner of a Lonely Heart, but close. Nice Reagan-Mondale clip between sets though.

I like the smattering of pop gems on 90125 (or what that Yes zip code is).

I say Leave It (Alone)!

Finally a song I can get behind: Morris Day and the Time's "Jungle Love".  Would rather hear The Bird, but you can't have everything.  I wondered if the Time was created for Purple Rain, so I checked.  Turns out they were a real band long before the movie.  So there you go.

OMFG! BOS3 The Time, "Jungle Love", a nice alternative to the obligatory Prince Purple Rain selection.

(And this one seems to be a bustout, although I'd swear we heard it recently.)

Not quite a BOS, but nice to near nonetheless: Roger Waters looking for the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking. OK song, but the chorus just seems out of place with the rest of it.

BOS3, U2 A Sort of Homecoming?

"did you understand the music, Yoko? Or was it all in vain?"

As I've said before, this is a total Narada to me; I'd never heard it until Dave played it. I'm guessing prog radio in NY avoided it for fear of offending you-know-who with the above lyric.

Renee was going on about "It's My Life" the other day -- she loves it so much she even liked the No Doubt cover version.

It was pretty well-played on KFOG back in the day.  Nice U2 song.  And always good to hear Talk Talk.  I've heard some of their more obscure songs on Radio Paradise.  Really good stuff worth checking out.

Really good ending to this set.

It was in the Casey '80s countdown last week (TANC!), and interesting re Dave's comment, Casey announced that the band had broken up!
