I think this is a pretty recent one.  I remember commenting that I mondegreened this one as "you gave me loving in a common man".  How controversial!

Not that I'm complaining, but are we gonna hear new 10 at 10's anymore?
Won't be the same without Dave

Could be. If the next song is Hyp-MO-tize then this set is from...this past October! Who'd have guessed?!?

The plan is that Dave is going to start producing new 10@10s from his new home on the shores of Lake Gitchee-gumee (Huron, actually) once he gets moved in and settled. Not sure when that is supposed to be though--I think it'd be asking a bit much for him to get all moved and unpacked and have his studio set up in time to do a new set next Monday, but it could happen.

Then the big debate is whether he'll do it live or not.  My impression, based on something Rosalee said on his last show, was that it would NOT be live, which would be a shame.

I wonder if the Morning Show is still getting "where's Dave?" phone calls.

Doing the show live would require a (satellite?) hookup, which the suits at Cumulus might consider too expensive; better to record and send an audio file for playback. Dave can take BOS votes by email or thru the website like the Drive does.

My squonk reference was for the Dan lyric, in any case; 2 squonks in one set would be overkill IMHO ;)

Nope, wrong year--that'd be '76. So I guess I wasn't the only one who missed the ref on the Squonk art.

I was under the impression they could do it with a T1 line, which is still something of an expense, but not as much as a satellite link. That still doesn't mean that Cumulus is going to be willing to bite for that expense, just so Dave can do the show live. Still, crossing my fingers on that.

I am really digging this set, btw. It's got a great sort of low-key, mellow feel to it--how 70s!

Did I miss something regarding the ownership of KFrOG?  Did Susquehanna sell it to this mysterious Cumulus entity?  I know the stream has Cumulus in it, but that's all I know.

It was/is one of dave's better '74 excursions; too bad the replay is pre-empted tonite -- KFOG does "Party Music" from 8p to 3a.

Yes, Susquehanna sold all their radio holdings to Cumulus a couple of years back. As far as KFOG is concerned it's been a fairly transparent transition--the biggest difference I can think of is that they started charging admission for Ka-Boom after Cumulus took over.

in addition, they fired the Bone's Program Director and now Benson wears 2 PD hats.  Which may be one reason they're letting Webster take the morning reins, rather than search for a new "outside" talent. Who has time to listen to audition tapes?

BOS6 Boz. Yeah, this really WAS a great '74 set!  Dunno if I'd wanna lay down in Georgia pinecones, tho' --OUCH!

Charging for KaBoom? tragic! How would they do that? you can see it from many parts of S.F.
Or is that charge just for the concert?
I remember the year I won tickets to a Kaboom cruise - out on the bay to see the FW
