I don't care about "get behind" or "Get me high" or Boston, period.

BOS to "Tonight's the Night," it's the right kind of day for this song.

Well fine, then just let your inhibitions run wild!

Btw, this set is not terribly old--first aired in October of this year.

Maybe he just wants her cute little inhibitions to run away from them so they don't get in the way...

He wants you to spread your...er...'wings', and let him come inside.

I hope he's wearing protection!

On Oct 21st to be precise, and, just goes to show ya, the last post on that thread was by me, as follows:

I love the year chosen, but we didn't many cuts off the beaten track, did we?  Maybe pfunk qualifies, ABBA sorta....

No -- nothing qualifies. This was one of Dave's least-consequential '76 sets ever. No, I'm not wearing the crankypants today, I'm quite serious.  Nothing even remotely interesting, even if some of them were enjoyable. WTF? Dave's spending so much time listening to Kid Rock, it's warping his brain.

yeah, have to agree.  Enjoyable, but inconsequential.  Won't be remembering this one much past Saturday morning.

One thing though, the first time around I didn't catch the nifty segue from Carter's alarmist campaign ad into Don't Fear the Reaper, especially considering the current economic climate.  I suppose things really were worse in the late 70's than they are today.

At least I missed this one the first time around--I think I was at a cheesemaking class in Corvallis the first time this aired. It's not annoying, but yeah, not much here of consequence either.

I found out over Christmas that my brother and his bandmates call Michael McDonald "Puddingmouth."  Because he indeed sounds like he has a mouthful of pudding.

If that's what a mouthful of pudding sounds like, then what in gawd's name is in Joe Cocker's mouth?

Well, of course it is, but Dave usually balances the Bostons and Framptons with a couple of surprises -- he didn't really do that in this set, and thus the crankypants.

despite my griping back in October, I would have loved to have heard this set in its entirety: it would have been a nice re-intro to the 10@10 groove that was on holiday for the past few days.

As it was, I heard Lou, BOC, The Doobs and ELO.  no complaints today.  What's not to like?

they don't seem in much of a hurry to post the setlists of these post-Dave classics.
