Bowie twin-spin, sorta: "All the Young 'Trinas". Gonna race some cow to bed.
-
It's a glam twin-spin. Dare we hope for T. Rex to make it a trifecta?
-
Now we're stealing clothes from Marks & Sparks! Bring him down here...'cause I want him!
Know it's a pretty frequent flyer, but BOS2 to Mott and his Hoople.

How 'bout some American glam, with Todd and Black Maria? He was pretty flamboyant all thru the '70s.
(BOS3, lest I forget.)

Sorry to be Mr Crankypants, but as much as I love Bowie & Todd, those are Morey staples and the Mott -- jeez! -- is just an uber-Trina that I can't in good conscience give a nod to. Down off my soapbox now.
-
Mavis knows a place. Wonder if her down-low relationship with Bob Dylan figures into this lyric.

Todd's ...er, BM... isn't that familiar to me, but I'll agree on Bowie and Mott. I LOVE Mott, though, so that never gets old. And although I hail from Roch NY (Susan B. Anthony lived there for many years), I've been known to turn off Suffragette City.

Ancient Chinese secret (and another BOS for Badfinger)

Wayback is king of the pix. If this board were a Fillmore concert back in the day, the poster would say "... and light show experience by Wayback" in all groovy letters.

sorry, I love the Doobs too but "LTTM" is a regular-rotation KFOG staple, regardless of its Katrina status.

Jolly Joker.

watched most of Eric Clapton's Crossroad Guitar Festival DVD (http://www.amazon.com/Crossroads-Guitar-Festival-Eric-Clapton/dp/B0002Y4T92) this past weekend. JJ makes an appearance, adn he's soooo low-key. It's awesome.
I've heard it said that Clapton has the chops, but JJ's got the soul.

He played a show at the Palms Playhouse back in the 80s when it was still at its original location in Davis (a small barn, essentially). I am told he was so freaked out by the proximity of the audience (the first row is right against the stage--the folks in the first row can put their feet up on the monitors), he did the whole show with his back to the crowd.

Whut dey DOIN'? BOS4 O'Jays.

Mr. Cale was christened Jean-Jacques. Think he got some shit growing up in Tulsa?

I just checked the Shraytabase -- White Lies and All the Young Dudes each show up in the db 11 times each. I realize you hear the Dudes in other places as well, but everything today is pretty much a frequent flier.
And all pretty darned great.
-
"low-down dirty bastards! Damn damn damn, damn damn damn!"
I was amazed that got on the radio in '72.

Yeah, compared to those two, both the Bowie and Todd songs are just about rarities--two appearances each in the DB.
-
Today's bonus went to the Allman Bros. One Way Out (foghead took a pass on Jerry Garcia's The Wheel among other things), and then a couple songs later we got yet another big hit from '72--Eagles' Take It Easy, a song I very strongly associate with the summer of '72.
