Title: Beej's Gallery
Post by: Beej on January 25, 2005, 11:43:35 AM
I thought I'd make a place to post the various nutty pics I've made and/or found over the years.

All this talk of Magic Flutes & Whodoo & Witchie Poo reminds me of a pic I created for a Television Without Pity Pixel Challenge. The topic was: create a tabloid magazine cover based on a TV show....

The Weekly World of Sid & Marty Krofft (http://www.beejweir.com/imagelib/sitebuilder/misc/show_image.html?linkedwidth=actual&linkpath=http://www.beejweir.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/wwsmk.jpg&target=tlx_new&title=Weekly%20World%20of%20Sid%20&%20Marty%20Krofft)

(since my name is Sleestak Hunter over there it was especially appropriate)

Thank you. It took forever (trying to find good pics, etc). But, it was worth it. The Whodoo pic I sent to Gaz was a left-over that didn't make it to the cover of 'WWoS&MK'.

Beej's gallery is cool but I'm really doing this to test my new avatar. (If it's not here later you'll know it sucked.)

Thanks--I dug them too, for the short time they were on. I'm going to try re-editing the shot later so John's not cut out, but that's the best I could do using the crappy photo-editor that's on my computer. I didn't think the guys in the art dept would appreciate my asking them to edit my avatar. (Although they could probably have done it in about three seconds.)

My art department (aka Joann) is on her annual trip to China & Taiwan.  She gets to go back for the annual dinner & hobnob, whereas I have to go back for the annual sales meeting & make a presentation.  But anyway, when she returns she can help anyone with their avatar in her spare time, of which she has quite a bit most days.

Well, then it wouldn't be funny. He meant it as a joke. But, in fact, if one were to crawl inside a dog, they'd probably find it too dark inside the dog to read.

outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

no ba-dum-dum there?

No, I think the quote is:

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend, inside a dog it's...  You switched the first half around...

Well, the magic's gone now.

Oh! And I forgot to mention- I'm also known as JediMasterElvis in some places (I just tell people Sleestak Hunter is JME's apprentice). That's why some of the pics are 'signed').

:) that's a dope picture. i just watched 'cigarettes and coffee' the other day, and steve buscemi has a part about how elvis' twin didn't really die, and how it was he, not elvis, who donned the polyester suits and became a fat vegas rocker in the 70's.

LOL! I prefer the Bubba Ho Tep mythology: Elvis got tired of the "rat race" & hired Elvis impersonator Sebastion Hoff to trade places. Elvis continued to perform- but as Hoff, not himself.

Meanwhile, Hoff becomes Elvis, gives in to excess & dies. Elvis continues to be Hoff (the document that proves the switch took place is destroyed in a fire, btw) but then breaks his hip while performing. "Hoff" is dumped in a nursing home- where no one believes he's really Elvis.

Great movie. Bruce Campbell is God.

Edited to Add (hereby known as ETA): Thanks! I'm glad you like the pic. It's from Elvis' official website. Actually, it might be a screen capture from a screensaver I downloaded there. Don't remember . Thankyou. Thankyouverymuch.
