H&O kick it off, with
a Kiss on their List their Private Eyes.
ETA: Damn, there goes my Hall and Oates cred. :)

easy mistake to make. RCA said "give us another one, just like the other one" and they were happy to oblige. But BOS anyway; it's a swell TOTHK.
But yeesh, Frankie and the McDonald-Knockoffs.
-
WOS "Searchin'", lesser Santana. MUCH lesser.
-
Yikes, this set is getting cringe-worthy in a hurry. Santana at his most commercially cheesiest (at least until Rob Thomas came along). Alex Ligertwood always triggers my gag response.
Sodden thought: will we be unheezed today?

You read my mind: WOS2 JS, who woulda been FAR more welcome in '75 than in this year.

Just left a message with Lorraine: this song bites.
-
aaack! now it's Phil & Genesis. Damn, Kim Carnes would almost be an upgrade at this point.
-
Genesis completes their metamorphosis from prog rock to pop rock. It's as simple as A-B-A-C-A-B.
-
Too Much Information sounds good to me!~

they sure did, but Abacab is a good record ... except for Who Dunnit, which is crap, my friends. (using John McCain voice)

Let this groove set in your shoes? sit in your shoes?
what the hell?

Is today's set date specific or something? It seems to be hewing pretty close to the charts--nothing remotely rare in here.

Let this groove, get you to move,
it's alright, alright

stand up, alright
NEVER question the power of the groove!
VHM Mr Kihn, 2 weeks in a row he's gotten some Morey love.
WOS3? 4? .38 Special, holdin' on to Lucy. or Sloopy. or somebody.
-
My WOS goes to 38 Special. Totally insipid, not particularly southern, rock.
ETA: And it won BOS? Who ARE these people???
-
The set is salvaged with U2

Yep, my reaction, too. And fully agree with all who gave a WOS to .38 Special. Of course, the voting populace did not concur. :(
-
Dave makes a Freudian slip when he says "All filler, no killer! .. err... I mean, All killer no filler! Tee hee...!"

listening in the car again, BOS to Abacab, WOS to almost everything else. I woulda been exceptionally cranky about this set if I'd been posting in real time.
