Post by: Wayback on October 02, 2008, 07:37:42 PM
A few months ago on PBS I saw a documentary on the Kingston Trio, learned more about their story, more appreciative of their place in music history.

I had relatively heavy exposure to the KT as a kid -- Dad had a few lps.  I still know all the words to "The Merry Minuet."

they're rioting in africa
there's strife in iran
what nature doesn't do to us
will be done by our fellow man

My dad did too.  I can't say I remember all the words like Rod, but I certainly heard a bunch of their records a whole bunch of times.
