Holy crap! BOSFRA Seger, "Long Twin Silver Line", one from Against the Wind I don't think I've heard on the radio since 1980, if then.
-
Guess Bob's seen that trailer for W. BOS2 T.Heads. "My gawd! What have ah DONE??"
-

Holy Crap 2 -- Ambrosia gets a BOS5 and proxy of cairo -- 2nd time this month Bob has played one of their Warners hits. "Biggest Part of Me"? It's not polite to brag, guys.
-
and we close, eversotastefully, with John, "Watching the Wheels" -- BOS6.
Major kudos -- Rush notwithstanding, this was Bobs best and most-diverse 1980 set, like, evah!
-
Police - De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da
Bob Seger - Long Twin Silver Line
Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime
J. Geils Band - Love Stinks
Billy Joel - It's Still Rock 'n Roll To Me
Bruce Springsteen - Hungry Heart
Pretenders - Brass in Pocket
Rush - Spirit of Radio
Ambrosia - You're the Biggest Part of Me
John Lennon - Watching the Wheels
-
post-set, they're playing an interesting alternative version of Booker T, "Time is Tight" that's NTM. Starts off real slow, then it's faster-than-the-original.

yeah, nice set, but nothing too extraordinary, save for Seger -- which I missed hearing btw.
... But I think Rush made it that much better! dudes!
I've seen them 3x, first on the Moving Pictures Tour, and what's not o like about that album? I grew up on that stuff.

We're quite divided here; some like mshray absolutely LOVE Geddy & the boys; others (like me) find them unbearable -- "willfully obscure" is the phrase I usually use to describe their lyrics. Plus, Lee's voice reaches heights only dogs can hear.

Tinka, the Princess and I welcome you to the Rush Appreciators Club, which are mortal enemies of the Rush Bashing Club.
