Post by: Davefish on July 31, 2008, 10:08:17 AM
A nice start with Dwight Twilley.  Is that Tom Petty singing backing vocals?

See, that's exactly why I rarely start the daily-show threads - invariably I xpost.

Early VHM to Dwight Twilley (ah, that video ...) and I actually don't mind the Yes tune.

I don't either, and I remember the video had numerous versions, including the extremely silly version 11.  So whenever things got really weird, you could say it was version 11.

Fortunately, we have modern medicine that can help with that problem now.

I can't let that stand, sir!  Seriously, Billy's done his share of cheeze, but An Innocent Man is a truly heartfelt LP, and there aren't that many of those.

BOS4 Larry Flynt! (TANC: see my post in the election thread about Rappers & Republicans)

"I'll even ask your forgiveness, though I don't know just what I'm asking it for" - this line is complete genius.  Not only is it perfect scansion (sp?), it speaks volumes about how these two, despite this effort at reconciliation, still have enough of a communication gap that these fights are destined to reoccur and reoccur.
