sorry, I'm long past feeling anything for that uber-trina. WOS Yes, of course.

Holy 1984 jinx, Batman!
See, that's exactly why I rarely start the daily-show threads - invariably I xpost.
Early VHM to Dwight Twilley (ah, that video ...) and I actually don't mind the Yes tune.

I don't either, and I remember the video had numerous versions, including the extremely silly version 11. So whenever things got really weird, you could say it was version 11.

Nah, don't bother--I merged the lot of 'em. So now the posts from all three threads appear under this one.

"I feel so huge, I feel so small". I don't know what he's talking about, but it sounds good.

Well, that was exciting. Now, back to our show...

BOS JJ, but really, Dave needs to add a few more bustouts to his '80s repertoire.
-
No HM for the lovely Joe Jackson, 'cause I could never get past him singing about her being #1 and #2. Ick.
-
BOS, Joe Jackson.
Mshray -- I got an email from JJ.com yesterday. Apparently, he is playing the Warfield Oct 15. Checked out Ticketmaster, but nothing yet...
-
Yeesh, we're taking it hard today, all right.

Fortunately, we have modern medicine that can help with that problem now.
-
BOS2 BJ's lovely hommage to Doo-Wop.
-
BOS "For the Longest Time." Sang along with that more times than I can count.
-
BOS3 REM.
-
BOS2 BJ's lovely hommage to Doo-Wop.
More of a fromage if ya ask me.
BOS for REM that I don't recognize, which is hard to believe.

I can't let that stand, sir! Seriously, Billy's done his share of cheeze, but An Innocent Man is a truly heartfelt LP, and there aren't that many of those.
BOS4 Larry Flynt! (TANC: see my post in the election thread about Rappers & Republicans)
-
HAHAHAHAHA - or wasn't I supposed to laugh at that clip?

Flynt made his case, sounds like a reasonable man ;)

Doesn't Big Country have an awesome sound? Too bad about the singer dude.
-
BOS2 to all three Thompson Twins. Love "Hold Me Now" almost as much as I love "Doctor Doctor."

There's a presale starting tomorrow for the Oct 17 show in LA, but nothing for the Warfield yet. :-\
-
TT Hold Me Now Should this be a guilty pleasure? dunno, but I like it.
Colorado summers - painting houses in the 80's
-
I say BJ & REM just barely redeemed a VERY by-the-numbers excursion.
-
BOS2 to all three Thompson Twins. Love "Hold Me Now" almost as much as I love "Doctor Doctor."
Agreed--and proxy of Geoff, while we're at it.
-
"I'll even ask your forgiveness, though I don't know just what I'm asking it for" - this line is complete genius. Not only is it perfect scansion (sp?), it speaks volumes about how these two, despite this effort at reconciliation, still have enough of a communication gap that these fights are destined to reoccur and reoccur.

Agreed
