I did too, but I think I caught the tale end of Matthew Sweet's "Girlfriend" before "Tom's Diner".

BOS Roger McGuinn & Tom Petty - "King of the Hill"

McGuinn deciding if anyone was gonna make money sounding like McGuinn, it might as well be McGuinn.
WOS to the Stills cover.

Not with the remix of "For What It's Worth" it ain't.
-
BOS U2
-
ME2: BOS > U2

These last two tunes have that " '91 club sound" (for me anyway). Now throw in some Stone Roses, EMF, other Live105 tracks...

there was a time when I disliked it in that "why are they messing with a classic?" way, but the orig is so overexposed now that i find the cover mildly pleasurable.

Was anyone else steeling themselves for the opening notes of "All 4 Love" @ Super Hit 6-6-6?

Oh there's still 4 four slots to fill -- but if he plays "I Wanna Sex U Up" I'll eat my hat.

Ugh. Hey, my McGuinn-Petty comment was my Post #666 !

BOS REM -- truly one of the great tracks of that year.
-
BOS to "Losing My Religion," which never got old for me. I listened to this a lot during my senior year of high school as I debated whether I was ready to come out. (That would wait until I got to college later in the year.)
