HM from me. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" ID's the set as '91.

Is that Camper Van Beethoven? Did he say the year, or just say it was all about what's-her-name?

'92 I believe.
Break out the deodorant--it's Nirvana, but BOS anyway. VHM Cracker.

It's Cracker, which emerged from the ashes of CVB.
So Dave went from "Teen Angst" to "Smells Like Teen Spirit".

Is this the Church? Sounds like a bustout to me. VHMFRA

Note that we've been getting a '90s set every week, which never used to happen.
Not ID-ing this one, but it's rather snooze-inducing.

snooze-inducer #2: Tori.

You can usually be counted on for a snide Kate Bush comment, but eschewed it today. However to me this is the most Kate-Bushy of her hits.

I won't Crucify myself, but I may slit my wrists if this set doesn't improve.

BOS2 TP, "Peace in LA" -- talk about a very-much-of-its-time track!

This must be a bustout, no?
BOS.
-
BOS #2 for the Black Crowes, maybe my favorite of their tunes.

Kudos to Dave for digging that one out. BOS(so far) to the Crowes.
-
BOS3 REM. Sounded like Lisa Loeb's "Stay" for a sec.

BOS from me! Beautiful.

REM makes it 3 BOS votes for a '92 set, thus qualifying it as a halfway decent set.
-
Is "Ray" tune #10? at least a VHM, and wondering aloud...why isn't this one of those songs that stays in KFOG's regular rotation? Sure seems to be the type. And one I'd mind a lot less than some.
-
Lemonheads reappear. Halfway decent is also halfway crappy, and Ginger surely beats Dave in the Battle of the '92s today.
But VHM JCM.

I was right. I think this album must have sentimental value for Dave, he's played 3 or 4 tracks off of it.

Ditto, Geoff -- sorry I didn't stick around for that. Another track you'd think would show up in the KFOG rotation more often.

It's kind of like "Worlds Away," in that it was totally captivating listeners at the time, but no longer gets played in oldies rotation.
