I'm back!

Whoa! BOS, and not FRA, to "You Can't Change That." (Gaz does his finger-wag dance)

FRA? Not a bad tune, but the repeated phrase gets a little tiresome after a while. A pretty short while, in my case.

I don't think I've heard this since 1979, so it's resonating with me. BOS & if I'm not mistaken, a bustout that Mike will rue missing.

I agree with you (repetition-wise). On the other hand, JCM I Need A Lover is also very repetative, but I love it (still).
-
BOS #2 JCM "I Need A Lover", only the 2nd Db appearance.

The intro redeems it, a la Sweet Jane. Is it not John Cougar? I thought it was old enough for that.
And what does FRA mean?
Ahh, thanks.

FRA?
"For Rarity Alone," a recently adopted acronym here to applaud bustouts and near-bustouts whether we adore the songs themselves or not.

It is most certainly old enough to be just John Cougar, in fact i had that album. For simplicity I call all his stuff JCM, just like I don't distinguish between each of Prince's incarnations, and Macca is always Macca, Petty is Petty & Elvis is Elvis (& Linda, & Wings, & Heartbreakers, & Impressions, etc. notwithstanding).

HM to "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now," but a proxy WOS from POC, who's criticized the pitchy vocals before.

I would add that the FRA shoutout is only fair, since we gripe so much about repetition.

Not as rare as it might seem, but nevertheless a BOS #3 for Third World "NTWFL"
-
Natty shoot! (?) VHM to Third World, proxy of Mike as well.

Does "pitchy" mean off-pitch? I noticed that too, but mostly I noticed that we've heard it a billion times. Roughly.
-
BOS for Run Like Hell, which I gotta do to a 10:30 meeting. Ta ta!

Yup.
And wow - BOS2 to "Rise"!
-
BOS #4 "Rise" which we haven't heard for over 3 years. I hope Ali is listening.
-
VHM Cars (no, really!) "The Dangerous Type" because A) it's nice a segue out of the Jack the Ripper/H. G. Wells bit and B) despite his well-documented proclivity for the Cars, Dave hasn't played this one in over 6 years.

Holy sh!t - "I Go to Rio"!! Mike, you're in for some treats tonight.

Another bustout methinks. Mr. Morey wasn't kidding about the dancing.
ETA: what the heck was that little clip about Pablo at the bottom of the pool that preceeded "I Go To Rio"?

On the album, "I Go To Rio" starts with that phone call from Pablo at the bottom of the pool. Odd but fun.

I'll def enjoy the replay, tho' I'd rather hear Peter Allen's "Rio" than Pablo's ;)
This would seem to be the (regular) set of the week, and the you-don't-know-Diddley set tomorrow should be most enjoyable. Thanks for the proxies; and lemme guess: "Ain't No Stoppin' Us" preceded/followed by Gay Rights March clips?

Heard the set while driving. Phoned in votes. Not sure why, but... heard so much Floyd yesterday on a few different stations, I BOS'd Rise and the Cars.
