i had a dream last night that i was at a james brown concert in a small town in france. the concert was in the main square, and people were lined up in the streets for kilometers. james addressed the crowd in english, and we all yelled back in french. he mentioned how the show had been sold out again (i don't know how a street party can be sold out), and it was then i remembered that i'd been at his concert the day before. it was loads of fun until one of the huge screens next to the stage was knocked down. it fell on the people in the first row. some woman started screaming in chinese. one person died. nice party, jb.

You better lay off the black-eyed peas and smothered steak before bedtime, kiddo...

as Dave always says, when James starts naming foods, it's the end of Part 1 -- time to flip the record over.

Candied Yams! Grits'n'Gravy!
