BOS DM, "Policy of Truth".
-
I'll second the DM BOS.
-
VHM the Oils. Still have this LP in blue vinyl.
-
WOS Billy Idol, rockin' the cradle of 'Trina.

WOS Billy Idol, rockin' the cradle of 'Trina.
I was gonna say 'rock the cradle of Katrina', too, but you beat me to it.
-
DNA + Suzanne Vega = BOS #2

this is it's 8th appearance, in a year we haven't visited nearly as often as, say, '85 or '76.
VHM Vega/DNA, "Tom's Diner" remains a fine piece of minimalist art.
-
Hey, I'm sittin' in Toms Diner right now (free WiFi)!
-
This Paul Simon has got to be a BOSFRA.
-
BOS(2)FRA Mr Simon, anything from this LP other than "Obvious Child" or "Born at the Right Time" deserves kudos for originality.
-

BOSFRA jinx, and it appears to be a bustout!
I just noticed under Simon's entries in the db, there is one for "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover", and another for "51 Ways to Leave Your Lover"...
-
Hit dem high notes, Sinead!
PS - the Pope wants to see you in his office
-
BOS3 "Mandingo", er, "Mandinka"
-
Oops! Wrong Sinead track Dave!
-
BOS3 "Mandingo", er, "Mandinka"
This is from her 1987 debut album, not her 1990 album that would have swept the Grammies if she hadn't boycotted them (Phil Collins owes her like a million dollars for that)
-
yikes we heard this TP on KFOG in the 6:00 hour. Continuity!

ooops. Actually, Phill woulda won anyway -- bald guys always trump bald chicks at the Grammys. ;)

And yet this is only the second time "Runnnin' Down A Dream" appears in the Db, the first being in 2004...in an '89 set.
-
BOS4 to a World Party rarity!!! Speaking of rarities, this is a quite-bearable 1990 set. Who'd'a thunk?
-
Yes BOS Karl Wallinger World Party (and to Gorbechev)!

Metropolis is one of those katrinas that never bugs me, I don't mind hearing it at least twice a year.
-
Back in Metropolis
George Stephanopoulis
Chuckles over his bad reviews.
2nd egregious Katrina of Set, but overall not a bad effort.
-
wow, I wondered who that was: Nelson. (and it was also a bustout, so kudos to Dave for trying today)

Since I give Dave so much grief in '90s sets, I must say TWO bustouts and several rarities in 1990 is most impressive, even with Billy KatrIdol and the wrong-year O'Connor.

1. Depeche Mode - Power of Truth
Intern oopsie! But an understandable one, given that DMode spent all of the '80s singing about power exchanges ...
