Indeed I am - but mostly because I thought he had died many, many years ago in some sort of freak incident (like a robbery or something?). Interestingly, I'd heard both "I Go Crazy" and "'65 Love Affair" in the past two weeks - the latter for the first time since the early '80s.

he was indeed involved in such an incident, but survived.

A notable coincidence: Paul Davis and Al Wilson, who died a day apart, were both born in Meridian, Mississippi. Paul Davis also died there.
