Got a wife and kids in Baltimore, Jack.
Do wish Dave would dig deeper into this album--there are so many great cuts on The River.
However, here's a deep Nick Lowe cut--When I Write the Book! Nice. (Nick did this Saturday night at the Fillmore--wonder if DM was in attendance?)
ETA: Actually a Rockpile tune--and not a bustout. We've heard it twice--last time about 3 years ago.

You self-corrected before I could help you, but just because Rockpile released doesn't mean you're wrong. As I undersand it most of that album was composed of unreleased tracks by Edmunds and Lowe that they'd been playing live with the band for years.

Prince sounding good this morning, VHM.

1980 is a fave year for me musically and personally. The tunes thus far are bringing it all back! And I Moved...

Based on your avatar I think you'd wish you'd've been listening to KBCO an hour ago.

BOS "Mirror In The Bathroom".
Speaking of drifting gently into mental illness, did anyone else see this about former Heisman winner and NFL all-star Herschel Walker?

Bases on your avatar I think you'd wish you'd've been listening to KBCO an hour ago.
I'll check out that thread later, thanks! I can only devote these 45 minutes a day to indulging in "10at10" then its back to work. Oh yeah, BOS Rodney!

Wow, what an ordeal. A high-school classmate went to Univ of Georgia same time as he did. He was on list of Olympic torch bearers in SF, wonder if he did carry it then?
-
BOS for PG. I don't really think of this intro when I think of "I Don't Remember".

BOS from me too. I think the intro part is listed as a separate track on the album, under the name "Start".
Great tune in any case.

Yeah, my thoughts go out especially to his wife. 3 of my dad's 5 brothers have struggled with mental illness, 2 of them hospitalized multiple times, one of them currently. I had a long talk with my aunt (wife of the latter, who I never was really close to) a few days ago, just to offer my support. Not fun stuff.

And now your avatar seems prescient, although it's a pretty safe guess with Dave that you'll get a clip one way or the other.
Is this supposed to be a pointed segue?

It would seem so, yep.

Sure, I figured there'd be some reference to Lennon. Yes, a pointed segue: Chapman> Even The Losers. What would have transpired had he lived??

One of my friends from HS, Peter Schmitz, went to Yale the same year as Jodie. He was a drama major (possibly the best our HS ever produced) and appeared with her in at least one Yale theatrical production. Only had a brief chat with him at our 10th reunion, and never found out how well, if at all he got to know her. But that conversation did convince me that not only he but also another of my close friends from HS were gay. Only problem was Peter was out & Elliott apparently wasn't. Oops!
