... 2nd time in two weeks! Not a complaint, just an observation.

proxy of GazWOS to Ringo's "No No", but a BOS from me for this Hoyt Axton cover. Never understood Gaz's hatred of this.

Always thought this was an odd song for Ringo to cover, but I guess it speaks to where his head was at the time. So to speak.

LOL!

I'm fascinated by the left/right role-reversal that has happened with China. For decades the left made excuses for China, the right demonized them as Commies. Now the left are saying "BAD China -- beating up on Tibet", while the right says "hey, they're becoming capitalists! hooray!" (an oversimplification, maybe, but you see my point).  Murdoch, for example is heavily invested in China -- maybe Hannity and O'Reilly's heads will explode.

I still have his Breakaway LP album, it did stand out from the sounds of 75.

I don't remember Dave ever playing that one before.  I think he's played "Kieth Don't Go" and/or "I Came to Dance" once maybe, but long ago...

JS win BOS even without Gaz's support.  He'll be pleased.

I'm off to listen to Saturday's CGSS; If I don't pop back in, see you all next Thursday!

TANC: Bonus track is Any World (That I'm Welcome To). Late bonus today as the question was a stumper--what's the full title of the Ringo song? (And I missed the answer, so I can't tell you.)

And Mike, safe trip and we'll await your return--it'll be quiet around here in your absence.

Thanks, bub -- Gaz & I will have a couple of mojitos for all of you next week.

and as far as the Ringo song title -- no idea.  In fact, Wikipedia has a picture of the record label and it just says "No No Song", nothing more (and nothing in parentheses).

The replay show is running longish today--it's just now 11 and this set isn't half done yet. I blame that 82 set that I suspect ran 50+ minutes.

Off to the Giants/Cards game shortly; hoping they can start another winning streak. The last one went south on an ill-timed error from Durham and a bad pitch to Pujols.

Our spring break starts this week (boy, was I waiting for it!) and hope to catch a day game this week, maybe Wednesday.  Go Giants!

If you can make it Tuesday, I'd recommend that over Wed. Tuesday they're celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Giants' arrival in SF--their first game was exactly 50 years ago on April 15, and they've even scheduled the game to coincide with the exact start time 50 years ago--1:35. Guaranteed to be lots of special stuff before the game. Just an FYI--I'm sure either day will be a glorious day at the ballgame.

Sorry to have missed the roughly annual appearance of "Miracles."  At least the crowd had some taste!  Very fine set all around, love the Art and Nils too.

And I remain stumped on that "No No" trivia question.  Why I hate the song: The lyric is too lazy.  "s/he smiled because I did not understand" didn't need to come up three times.  And now that I've got a close friend dealing with a coke problem, I'm a bit humorless about this song's trivialization of the stuff.  The problem's not falling on the floor and sneezing, we'll leave it at that.
