He's 49, but somehow I doubt Dave'll do 1959 today.

Maybe next year when he turns 50. That'd be something!

Actually I heard a promo last night for today's set--we get '82 today (I don't feel too bad about busting that secret).

Like clockwork -- last visit was Feb 12th.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! IT CAN'T BEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
I'm not feelin' right either, Dave.

Oy--quite possibly the worst TOTHK in the entire 10@10 oeuvre. At least it can only get better from here.

No argument from me.

it's all in a matter of Time! BOS Jon & Vangelis (it's them and not Yes, yes?)
-
Early BOS from me - Jon Anderson - his voice just lifts my spirits (sorry for corniness)

VHM Mr Crenshaw, but it's a frequent flier and I wish we'd get the Robert Gordon version occasionally.

Still, it's a happy bouncer.
Speaking of bounce, its Jerry Springer (paying by check, you fool)
<--(PS: pic of me with Dave & Peter). Happy B'day Peter.
Club mix of Casbah!!
-
Ha! a VERY timely Jerry Springer clip! Springer... Spitzer... it's all the same thing!
VHM Clash remix.
-
Wow, this Jerry Springer political ad is *way* apropos. Wonder if' Dave's been saving it for just such an occasion.

he knows what he's got in his wardrobe clip library.
-
LOL! Now I get the inflection Dave used when he mentioned we'd be hearing a 'paid' political announcement.
Jerry Springer sure had balls, didn't he?
Of course no coincidence coming right after Elliott SPitzer's debacle.
-
Club mix of Casbah!!
I'm tempted to BOS this just because I haven't heard it ad infinitum
-

I'd like to recommend again that Clash live clips compilation that PBS is showing this month -- great stuff.
and I'd like to WOS again this Asia abomination.

"Spitzer? I hardly KNOW 'er!"
(sorry -- I had to use it one last time before the expiration date)

Woo Hoo, more late-breaking prog rock - Asia - pretentious though it may be...
-
And Toto too! Yikes. I'm all for cheese, but when it rises like Olympus above the other cheeze...
ETA: for years I mondegreened that line as "rises like an Empress".
-
This set is turning out to be the evil '82--only the Crenshaw and Clash tunes are remotely BOS-worthy.
-

any ex-Yes members in a band qualifiy them for your undying love, does it?
;) ;) ;)
I'm going out on a limb to give "Africa" a BOS. If some unknown group had composed this & it was just a 1HW, they'd have gotten a lot more love than Toto ever did.

how 'bout some Roxy Music?

can't BOS it, but I won't disagree with your point. There's certainly an "oh they're just slick, rich LA session hacks" attitude towards them. Of course, that's 'cause they *are* rich slick LA session hacks... ;)
VHM that sexy voice again, but I'd do anything for a bustout or 3
-

Yeah, this is a step up. Ditto Promised You a Miracle.
-

Belief is a beauty thing.
not quite a bustout, but it's been about 2 yrs since we heard it. BOS.

a bustout would be a *real* miracle. Peter deserves better on his B-day. Yeah, that's my story and I'm stickin' with it!

I remember dancing to this for what seemed like hours at the Echo Beach dance club down on Harrison. Not sure I could even find it now.
-
VHM not-overplayed Police. John Belushi is the Omega Man?
-
Guess Belushi wasn't meant to live long.
Speaking of Toto slick & rich, The Police: cleaning up $$$ with their reunion tour.

if only Dave'd *play* "Echo Beach" one day...
-
OMFG!!! BOS Culture Club, "DYRWTHM?" Proxy of Gaz. Dave doesn't play them nearly enuf. This is only their 6th appearance in the shraytabase: 3 with this, 3 with "Church of the Poison Mind". That's astounding considering how many great pop singles they released in a short time.
-
Not a bustout, but would you believe we haven't heard DYRWTHM since
2004 2003?
-

Indeed. Hasn't played this in nearly FIVE years, and the only other CC song he's played in my Db is "Church of the Poison Mind".
-

I have it as not since 6/11/2003. Hmm, Db inconsistency?
-

see my post above -- and compare to how many times we've heard MAW. I'd've sworn we heard "Karma Chameleon" in a guilty pleasures set, tho'..
-
No F***ing Way!
Asia!? BOS!?
*That's* never happened before.

No, user error (note, I corrected my initial post). Although the first time I tried to filter for Culture Club, it wasn't listed in the drop-down. Freakin' Microsoft...

No Guilty Pleasures set in my Db, but I do recall one a long time ago.

"You know how I know you're gay? You voted Asia for BOS!"

Well Mark, I'm pretty much guilty as charged. And a BOS winner too (wouldn't be my choice, but I'll shout out Woo Hoo anyway just on principle...)
