Don's sounding much more robust than he did on SNL!
But then again, we're all Too Old To Rock & Roll...

In his case I think he really is "Too Old To Rock 'N' Roll, Too Young To Die".
BOS Tull
-
Would love it if Dave pulled out Minstrel in the Gallery one of these days.
Meanwhile, the white boys are gettin' funky.
-
Ooh, a serious challenge to Tull for BOS. BOS2 for "Caves of Altamira". Do the Dan.
Was a really nice segue out of the Pepsi song too, if such a thing is possible.
-
"When there wasn't even any Hollywood..." Ditto the BOS vote.
great horn arrangement, too.
-
BOS #3 for Heart "Magic Man" - sounding much better in a 1976 set than it did in the special 'Magic' set Dave did when the last Harry Potter book came out.

Sounds like we are in agreement on Jethro and the Dan (not to be confused with Chico and the Man).
-
Ooooh, Dave is doing a pretty sweet job this morning. BOS #4 Stones "Fool To Cry".
-
BOS3 Stones, Fool to Cry (although wasn't this released in '75?).
ETA: Nope, it was April of 76, per AMG.
-
Yay, another BOS for the Miracles!

Yay, another BOS for the Miracles!
Yep--and the closest we've heard to a bustout so far. (One previous appearance, in a Soul Patrol VT a year ago.)
-
Since Mike's not here I can safely give a VHM to EC without any fear of a Crapton comment

No sooner said, and we get an actual bustout: Lou Rawls, You'll Never Find a Love Like Mine. And BOS5, too!

Anyone else think the intro passage to ELO's Tightrope is cribbed from Funeral for a Friend?

Yeah, I've had that thought before.

It sounds similar elsewhere as well, but doesn't bug me. I don't recall hearing it before...

Missed the selection process again, but tuned back in in time for the bonus: Aerosmith, Sweet Emotion. Was Alicat today's winner?!?

No, and that wasn't even the bonus track. It was Neil "Walk On". Other choice was Santana.

Well, I'll be gah-damn. I tuned back in about 11:10, heard Aerosmith and assumed that was it. But Ali could have just as easily picked the Neil song--she's a fan there, too.

BOS from me too. I wonder what the Moody Blues would have done with this song.

No mention of the Steve Miller? Unexpected VHM from me - I don't remember this at all, though I see it appears twice in the Shraytabase.
HM as well to the Love Machines, who would find out on this album that Ain't Nobody Straight in L.A.

Yeah, I've had that thought before.
Thirded.

Wild HONEY, nice. WTH?
I missed the morning AND evening sets. Not the best ever 76 set but sorry to have missed it.

I'm just a too old singer in a too young rock'n'roll band.
