Touch me in the barn and sound your alarm. Or... something.  VHM Mr Dekker.

One of my least-fave Beatle tunes is my cue to exit. Off to get a haircut and run errands. Happy NYE all!

And a year ends with Sly et al, "Hot Fun in the Summertime."  End of the year, and then we go back: Bye, bye-bye bye there ...

Not a bad way to end the year at all. Per the DB, this set was originally broadcast on Oct 6, 2006.

Was it an original then? I'd swear we've heard this one multiple times; the fact that there was a "10-way tie" for BOS suggests it's much older than that (we were still in "only one BOS" mode in '06, since Big Rick was still replaying the BOS at 6pm iirc). Certainly a protoypical '69 set from Dave.

Hmmm, it's not marked as a classic in the DB, but your reasoning seems correct about the 10-way tie becoming all but extinct by that time, and the entire week following this were classic sets, so it wouldn't be out of character for Dave to have taken the Friday of this set off to extend his vacay a bit.
