BOS to "Love My Way." I'll reiterate what I said last time someone played it: I rather enjoyed the Polyphonic Spree's cover of it this year though I wish they'd gone even further on the chorale side.

And VHM to "Alex the Seal."

Song No. 3 is new to me.  Proggy, Floydish, not my cup of tea.

My friend Jagger used to intentionally mondegreen it that way.

Very perceptive. It is Floyd, Possible Pasts, from their last gasp album, The Final Cut.

I'm thinking that was a Floyd solo project.  "f---ing ponderous" as Casey Kasem once famously said.

I'm feeling nostalgic: Can someone go get Beej to stop by, just to post a query about "What does it feel like being cloned?"

I was only guessing that it was Floyd myself, but it made for a nifty segue out of the Lebanon Marine base bombing cip.

VHM to "Safety Dance," which I don't think I've heard on a 10@10 in a very long time.  Only times I've heard it this decade AFAICR were at my friend Dan's New Year's Eve parties.

It was an "earworm" last year & it made the 2002 Turkey Day set, that it as far as the Db goes.

"Safety Dance", with it' cold close, woulda made a great set-closer -- too bad Martha Motel had to ruin it.

Agree fully. Dave must have a thing for that Motels tune, 'cause it seems to pop up in the #10 slot a lot.

(OK, I just checked the DB--it's made 9 appearances, and been in the 10 hole for three of those.)

But I like the Motels better than Safety Dance!

Heard Powers do the bonus track question and he completely punted it. He said "Dave played a track by Men at Work during the set--where is that band from?" Of course he meant Men Without Hats, but that ain't what he said. And the first caller answered Australia and was told she was wrong. Which, based on the phrasing of the question, she wasn't. Finally they got someone to guess Quebec, which is where Men Without Hats are from, and he picked Def Leppard "Photograph" for the bonus.
